I would have to agree with all points stated. After trying all three classes (Being a warrior healer type in most games... in this case the under-developed and practically worthless Titan) Im seeing that every (heroic/epic) stylle challenge plays and benefits the warlock/hunter without any remorse. After being obliterated by hunters/warlocks in pvp, this became a growing reason to scrap it. Most games reward you for playing as your class, like your class. I find it hard to believe that EVERYONE can take down ANYONE in pvp with 2 melee strikes, REGARDLESS of the supposed ARMOR rating and awesome warrior class. Its not hard to see why humanity is dying. On to the PvE, almost all of the modifiers punish the Titan for being played like a titan. Melee is FORBIDDEN. You will die for using the one thing thats supposed to differentiate them. Close Combat. Nope, we see the usual activision CoD BS thrown to reward twitch-style gaming. Not tactics and team work. The hunter practicall homes in on a target he melees. Efficiently and effectively. The Titan? Swings wildly and with little realistic range and fails to hit things RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. The Warlock? Ranged melee with SPLASH effect! These are basic issues, maybe I'll sit down and relate my depressing slog of the 3 types since I wanted to understand what I was doing wrong. Turned out, nothing. My Titan is just wortless in comparison to the way the game is designed. So what am I doing now? Mostly looking for a game to play that doesn't reward statistics, but the gamers who made them what they are.

Titan worthless. Thats golden. L2p.

Editado por Sarcasm83: 9/30/2014 5:09:49 AMCould you try being a little less offensive about everything you say? Very condescending tone, which I'm sure no one here appreciates. I didn't.. even if I play a Titan aswell - and don't think it's at least worthless, but he makes VERY good points in where the Titan isn't exactly playing as a class he's intended to be is MEANT to.

Ha ha yeah, I probably could ;)

Editado por XxDanyonxX: 9/27/2014 1:46:05 PMYay, another childish troll, how nice of you to take the time to annoy my part of the world... Well, since you are here... Nope, haven't been doing that. I have never played a game in my life. Thats why I like to compare and relate to what I've never tested. Good to know you had time to comment, albeit with ignorance, but thanks for taking the time to respond. Oh, and I should add "Says the guy with a Hunter and Warlock". But that might be narrowing down your obvious choices. L2R. Then come back. Actually since Im on the shitter I can just easily take the time and equate the two. You know what? I take it back. Come back anytime and make a statement irrelevant to anything noted. Use a l33t speak to make it seem like you got it down. Run your mouth. I won't waste my time on you in the future, but if you have anything worth voicing other than a personal point to point on how you think I play, I might make the consideration. I mean, since you obviously know me so well. Let me give you some advice though, free of charge. If you respond and don't want to sound like a pre-adolescent, start your conversation with ( "I disagree/ I have a differening opinion/ You might be on to something but/ Have you tried...) And the list goes on and on. But that, like my paragraph about WHY, require logic, ability to discern information and evaluate based on said incoming information. Don't strain yourself to hard. I wouldnt want you to 43r7 yourself.
-
Btw according to your logic you only tested 2 classes not 3.

I played titan in beta so I thought I would try something else. As for running a mouth... You started it by posting nonsense about titan being worthless. You might not like the game, thats fine and dandy, but saying titan is worthless is just... wrong. Im not "leet" or anything. You are just wrong about the balance of classes and need to l2p. At least this game.

Editado por XxDanyonxX: 9/29/2014 7:13:53 AMTRY THIS. How am I wrong? (read that? HOW AM I WRONG) I started by posting nonsense about the titan? You mean the character I have at lv. 27? That I played and trudged through to have this opinion to voice? So let me put this here since you like to put words in my mouth... I didn't say anything about not liking the game, so I can only assume that is your best attack at me. Believe me, I NEVER said you were l337. Get it right. As for nonsense? After testing the 3 classes? In the BETA and the FINAL PRODUCT? Either your a bungie network gaurd or just plain blind. Please say again that you are basing your defense off the beta (if I can even call it a basis, which all I have heard is a "uh uh" remark rather than a logical defense) You are telling me that you haven't realized that until lv. 20 it might as well be a tutorial? You are seriously trying to defend you're statement with a BETA comment!? I feel like I'm responding to a vegetable. The only reason Im editing this remark is because I thought I came off to crass before. Maybe I'm seriously mistaken. The more I think about this the more I have to question how the hell people like you are allowed to vote. You defend you're initial ignorant comment with a "Well you said this" comment? I'm not sure what your age is, but I can gather where the maturity stopped. When people post "nonsense" it tends to lack a few fundamentals, but since I apparently have to educate you on what that is, I feel like I might as well be slamming my head into wood chipper. You haven't based your statment on ANYTHING. I layed out a basic report on the FINISHED game. Did you read that? THE FINISHED GAME. One more time. NOT A BETA. Are you catching on here? Lv. 8 ANYTHING in beta is a past reminder of what this game SHOULD have been. Now we have this. Now, in case you can read, and in case you can pay attention to what people lay out, then at least TRY to respond in the same manner. Otherwise, go back to imagaginationland, where you can soak in bliss.

Lol. Nice logorrhea.

Editado por Sarcasm83: 9/30/2014 5:13:37 AM...oh for the love of God... Just go away.
-
Wtf!? I point out that someone is nonsensical in saying that titans are underpowered, the person answers by calling me ignorant, childish, hints that Im used to pouring shit through my mouth etc. AND IM THE BAD ONE? Gtfo.
-
I meant the whole "lol, nice logorrhea" comment as it seemed you're just provoking him deliberately with something along the lines of "too long; didn't read" :P

Editado por XxDanyonxX: 9/27/2014 1:36:24 PMOh, and how about PvP maps that take place in-game as opposed to these sell-out CoD mini-maps? If Activision and bungie really needed another sell-out pvp to make money, just go back to the franchises that don't require innovation. You promised an innovative game. But then again, both companies promised that nearly 4 sequels ago. Folks, they may not listen, Hell... They will probably never listen. Or at least care until those dollars turn to ash in their mouths. But VOICE it. SAY it. Defend WHY you have these issues. Don't let these bungie-boys and rabid-fandogs weaken your resolve. Destiny deserves to be better, BECAUSE you paid those dollars years ago into all the other franchises and you are in fact entitled to a FINISHED product that is WORTH the money we invested. Most of these children, and the comments belie any credibility, are going to rabidly defend the one M-17 game their parents will let them play. This game has been a mosh of mix and elbows & @$$holes. I have hope, but I don't expect anything to get through until we continue to argue WHY this deserves to be a good game.

Editado por XxDanyonxX: 9/29/2014 7:19:27 AMAnd LOGICALLY BALANCED CLASSES. Not these (Term Deleted) who use the the other classes (and ignorantly respond without any real proof) and comment on what they don't know for themselves. The whole basis of what I have said is being overwhelmed by how powerful the warlock and hunter are in comparison to the Titan based off of Lv. 1-20 and seeing a dramatic difference in the game and play style. I am still intending to get my other classes past lv. 20 just for final clarification. But based on my experience with my buddies, I'm just wasting my time holding out on the titan to be worthwhile. So, Bungie. Help prove me and Sawoszao wrong. It would be nice to finally be suprised by you.

Editado por Sarcasm83: 9/30/2014 5:38:54 AMI'm a level 26 Titan with both of the subclasses maxed out and .. yeah I'd hope it to be a bit stronger. And the point you make about the Titan's melee being clearly the weakest of the bunch (considering range and lack of splash damage etc...) is a very good one. After watching a livestream from a user playing a Warlock, the melee looks GREAT. It's a great motivator to get upclose and personal. On the PvP side I also feel like the Titan super abilities are kinda lacking, compared to the other 2 classes. Hunter's golden gun; As easy to aim as any other weapon in the game. Hunter's blade dancer, that allows for very good manouvering, increased armor(I assume?) while doing it and instant melee kills... VERY handy. Warlocks nova bomb, very easy to send exactly where you want it to go - from a range that doesn't put you in harms way. Sunsinger.. Well, I must admit I'm not that familiar with everything it does, so I'll just leave that out of this.. BUT I feel like the shield is almost strictly a PvE/Strike/RAID thing.. and it works nicely.. Especially with the perk where the ward of dawn produces orbs of light while it takes damage - thanks to the strike bosses keeping their sights on me - the easy target in a shiny orb, shooting at me - letting my teammates fire at the target constantly while I produce orbs, while ofcourse popping up constantly to shoot at the target from the side aswell. Really not that handy on PvP side... No one will be stupid enough to fire at the shield. Sure, it can keep you safe for the duration while you cap a point, but what stops an enemy just running inside your shield and punching you.. Ofcourse I punch back, but my "Titan armor" provides absolutely no stronger resistance. We both hit eachother at the same time twice in a row and both die. And if you pop up the shield for cover - you'll feel like a total moron once the person outside of it prepares his heavy rocket launcher and waits patiently and fires you the very moment you either step out or the shield pops down :D USEFUL ;) Then the fists of havoc, albeit very deadly if you manage to do it in exactly optimal place, it's still often in a clear disadvantage against nova bomb.. Run at the flagpoint with multiple people and you can be shot even while you are doing the super.. your titan jumps in the air and right before he's about to hit the ground; You are dead, because you got shot and melee'd point blank by the 2 of the 3 players that noticed you 0.5 seconds earlier. It leaves you vulnerable. Jump in the air and try to aim it; The arch without "death from above" seems very inconsistent.. sometimes it leaps a good amount forward, sometimes it feels floaty and only leaps forward some, making you fall short. Sure, it can most likely be mastered but still the fact is, it's much harder to aim than the other efficient supers that have the ability to cause multiple deaths for the opposing team. Now then the death from above ability.... it seems inconsistent to me aswell... sometimes it goes exactly where I aim, but I feel like I need to be high enough to get the right angle to dive down for the explosion. The problem with this one; Multiple flagpoints for example are in caves or indoors, where it isn't that easy to jump up, aim and dive down - especially as I feel it always needs quite a steep angle and you can't just superman fly in a shallow angle to where you aim it; It instead dives short of where you aim - in that same "\" angle. AND obviously if you thrustjet upwards to set up for a dive, you are insanely vulnerable and visible in the air for enemy fire. All of those reasons make me feel like the Titan's supers fall a bit short from the others.. not very drastically, but still. And it would kinda make sense that a Titan would need 3 melee's when the other classes need 2.. just to give it some extra in the armor department, to compensate what it lacks in agility and the "You have to be touching your enemy" melee punch that doesn't seem to pop or "home in" to your enemy nearly as easily as hunters or can't kill from a distance the warlock can. BUT all that said; I love the shouldercharge ability. Even though a bit tricky sometimes, as you need to do it after running for a set amount of time, but can't run for too long or your window to do it passes - it's still a great way to charge in - even though you can't rely much on your "tankness" and are quickly disposed if you decide to be so heroic you dash in with that and there are multiple enemies. But I admit I still have things to learn... maybe it can be perfected - by finding the exact right setup for my subclass.. one that enables me to shoulder charge, then punch someone out to gain a shield or instant health regen etc... I just .. maybe need to utilize it all better. But .. I can relate to what you're saying... I did pick the Titan and thought I'll make it my own - make it work and dedicate myself to it, but too often I feel like I should've gone with one of the two other classes. Sometimes I almost feel jealeous at how well people perform with said classes in streams. (Heh, actually; Not a single streamer I've watched has played the Titan... Not alot of them out there.. and even that, imo is saying something) Sorry for the wall of text.. had .. alot to say apparently :P
