Same happened to me. Luckily they made vanguard/crucible gear for those of us who are hated by a higher power (which is really what it feels like). Just grind and get your gear. The rep takes a while, the marks not so much, but when you're in you're in. After zillions of rare and 2 legendary engrams I only had a stable of rare items with a light point difference of maybe 1. That's what you call hitting the ceiling. But on the way there I got Vanguard Rep 2 and capped my marks for the week doing dailies and strikes. Got my first legendary armor today, very happy with it. In a couple days I'll have another piece, Helmet or boots, and this weekend Xur will pop back up and maybe I can pick up some gauntlets with my saved coins. Hope is not lost.
