I am really sad to see the fireteam is limited to 3. I understand they want squads of 6, but games are much more competitive with teams of 4. I understand you have teamed up with activision and they are into having a ton of people play against a ton of people, but come on 4 players is much better than 6.
Seriously, I have been playing with the same 3 guys for 10 years and now Bungie, your new game is only going to allow 3 friends to play together?
This is a big issue that will unfortunately cause many people to have to switch to other games. I don't want to switch to other games and be those people.
Remember 4v4 multiplayer, the thing that made you successful?
Why the hell would you change that?
I'm sorry but the stats that show Call of Duty as the highest selling game ever with 6v6 or 8v8 is only because they were on every console. If you had the Halo franchise on every console it would have been bigger than Call of Duty.
It was 4v4, Just Sayin....
My .02 cents
What do you guys think?

I don't understand why everyone thinks it HAS to be 4... Let's not forget why the magic number is 4... Does anyone remember how the whole "4" person teams started? Well I'm not going to tell you... I like that they changed it up... I'll always give credit to someone that's decides to do something different...

I have to be honest, I am rather surprised that so many people like it as 3 players for a fireteam. But the majority is still in favor of 4 players and up. 3 just isn't enough.

1 RespuestaI bet the marketing team that created the disc art accidentally put 3 instead of 4. *Bungie: 2-4 didn't mean fill in the missing number. Art Director: oops! *Bungie: Oh Shisno! 3 player coop? What do we do now? Must not have been a gamer... Art Director: Tell them it was meant to be that way. *Bungie: Brilliant!

2 RespuestasEditado por CDR IRON: 8/26/2014 6:27:33 PMA squad of 6 I believe would be the most effective. In the case of PvP Attack/Defend and Capture game types it could be setup like this 2 Attack, 2 Defend, 2 Roaming Support Each 2 man team could potential watch there own backs. If it was only 4 then you would have to really stretch thin and that would be even worse with only 3 in a squad where everyone would have to watch their own backs or commit the whole team to one maneuver. Here is a great example. World of Tanks People were solo all the time because you could only have 3 in a Platoon. At the last update they opened it up to 6, I think. and now I can't stop playing with ALL my friends. 6 would make a great Fire Team size, but absolutely no more then that.

Id say four with raid team being eight....
-
Seal teams are 4 men, so I say 4.
-
At this point, they'd have to rebalance everything they've been doing. It's better as is. Besides, 3 people made it feel a lot more playable. 4 players always felt like you were safe, and you never worried much until you were down to one, maybe two players. In this game, it just skips that and automatically feels much more dangerous when one person goes down.

2 RespuestasI think its pretty cut and dry here. Those voting for 3 don't have enough friends to vote for 4 or 5 or 6. Bungie do us a favor and go 4 so we can play destiny MLG with none of the extra "upgrades" for people who can't really play video games competitively.
-
Fireteams are for co-op, not the Crucible. Although I still think having 4 people in the team would be nice.

2 RespuestasI ended up forgetting who this topic belongs to with the amount of "concern" Rodney is pushing onto people.

4 or 5 players....for me it'd be like that Star Wars Republic Commando with that saying, "each of you are a finger, without one you cannot function"
-
-
3 players for missions and strikes, there should be like a 9v9 or higher mode in the crucible, and 6 man fireteams for patrol
-
I say -blam!- my friends I'm gonna go shoot shit and if they can't join then bye lol
-
1 RespuestaBungie just make fireteams 4 people. K thx bai.
-
Yea it sucks when someone gets left out but if you have 4 just split into 2 groups that's what me and my friends did, or we'd go and play the crucible till one of us left. Plus now you have raids for your 6 man fireteam so let's say hypothetically you have 4 people (including you) those other 3 people can't be your only friends with destiny just get some other people to join you and your set

10 RespuestasEditado por The Rodn3y King: 8/26/2014 5:51:32 PMI've been asking on all of the people that think 3 works ... So i'll just ask here... "Can you think of one successful game similar in style that has 3 man teams and not 4?"
-
3 is such an odd number and 1 of my friends always got left out so we either had 2 fireteams of 2 or someone had to leave so 4 would be nice
-
6 RespuestasNot sure what the argument is here. It's essentially 3 player co-op. Then for Multiplayer or PvP you can squad up with 5 friends... So what you're asking is to have a larger fire team for co-op...I don't see the need. 3 sounds good.

3 RespuestasFor a fireteam I think 3 is fine.
-
I think a range of 3-6 would be cool. 3 Min - 6 Max.

1 RespuestaNothing to stop more than 1 fire team being in the same place though just party up on your selected system ..unless its ps3 then your boned. I mean a fireteam and 1 guy can still work, Unless its strikes, Then I feel your pain
-
Editado por Sapphire: 8/26/2014 4:55:52 PMI wish the co-op fireteam limit would be raised to 4. Maybe.

5 RespuestasWhat do I think? I think it's fine. 3 classes, 3 man team. I know we are all used to 4 man teams and such, but it's nice to change it up from time to time. =)
