You sleep soundly, awaking refreshed the next morning. Looking around, you see the room is the same as you left it. Ren isn't there, and his bed is still freshly made.

I check for the bags of money, making sure he hasn't made off with it.

Editado por Joviaan: 3/23/2014 10:49:40 PMHmm... I'll check the bathroom, to see if maybe he just had a rough night drinking
-
The bathroom seems to be identical to how you left it. The sink is still a bit bloody from your katana.
-
Is there a phone for the room service? And is there a clock, or any windows?
I wash the blood on the sink down the drain, wondering just what Ren may have gotten himself into.
-
Editado por Windom: 3/23/2014 10:54:42 PM
No phone. You put out an order on the outside door and room service waiters walk up and down the halls every 10 or 15 minutes to take them. There is a clock (it's 10:20), and there's a single window to center square.
You clean up in the bathroom. You hear a loud rumbling below; it must be the preparations for today's Harvest Festival.
-
Great... Alright. I go to the lobby and ask to stay another day. Putting down the 10 coins, I ask him to forgo the maid service, and ask if he has another key for the room.
-
Editado por Windom: 3/23/2014 11:06:44 PMIt's a different attendant this time. He's much younger, with long, slightly spiky, black hair. He's perhaps 19 or 20, with brown eyes. "That'll be fine," he says, collecting the money and handing you a key. "Can I ask what you'll be doing today?" he asks, looking into your eyes.
Does he have another key?
-
Who, Ren? Or the attendant? The hotel has 3 keys on hand for all the two-bed rooms.
-
The attendant. So did both Ren and I get our own key?
-
Editado por Windom: 3/23/2014 11:19:23 PM
You both got just one collective key on the first night. You gave that to Ren, and you don't know his current status. The attendant just gave you another one.
-
Editado por Joviaan: 3/23/2014 11:24:29 PM
Ahh, alright, thanks.
I head back to the room to grab my dagger (tucking it away in my waistband) and lock the door with the key, then go to the bar in search for Ren
-
Editado por Windom: 3/23/2014 11:35:34 PMYou see the attendant grumble at your lack of an answer. "Have a great day!" he shouts as you leave the inn. You continue toward the bar, reaching it in about five minutes. You open the door, finding yourself in a giant two-story building. A long bar is at the end right next to the entrance. Past the bar is a mass of tables, and booths against the walls. A balcony extends all the way from the far wall to the tables in front of the bar. Below the balcony against the lower far wall, and past the tables and booths, is a stage. On top of the balcony are more tables, with an assortment of card games being played by burly, well-dressed men. A cloud of perpetual smoke hangs above them, thinning out when it reaches the air above the main area. There is a small cocktail bar in this balcony area. A greasy, rather bulky man serves drinks behind the first-floor bar.
First time I pulled up the message where he spoke, all that loaded was the first paragraph. That's why I asked about the keys, and I didn't see the guy said something =/
I walk up to the bartender and ask, "Were you serving drinks last night?"
I'm gonna take a quick nap, so I should be back in about an hour
-
Editado por Windom: 3/23/2014 11:45:04 PM
Okay, sounds good.
"Yeah " he mumbles. "What of it?" He has an unkempt mop for hair, and seems to be around 45.
-
Damn, my alarm didnt wake me...
"Did a man with mismatched armor and a mustache come in here last night?"
-
Editado por Windom: 3/24/2014 2:29:05 PM"Yeah, he gave me half my profits last night. Left with two pretty girls around 2 or 3 in the morning."
-
"Seems that he needs to learn the words moderation and priorities.... Anyways, do you have any idea where they may have gone?"
-
A few people seem to be impatiently waiting on the bartender's attention. "No clue, kid," he says. "You gonna order something?"
-
"No, but thanks" I say, as I set down a gold coin on the counter. I then turn around and start to head out the door.

Editado por Windom: 3/24/2014 3:58:26 PM-1 gold +2 reputation at Donovan's Bar You exit the bar, feeling a cool morning breeze sweep through the square. You continue to see dozens of people preparing for the festival.
-
I think to myself, "Where would I find a drunk man with two women... Who would I even ask?"
-
You look around for a moment. You're in Center Square, a large cobblestone plaza where many businesses are located. The inn and bar are adjacent, along with a restaurant, butcher, clothier, town hall, and fletcher circling the square. The street is packed.
-
Fletcher? What's that?
"Alright... So he isn't in the room, or the bar... I'll quickly check at the gates to make sure he didn't wander off."
