you are the source of this necrobumping
-
Now so are you, but i wasnt anyways
-
no, this thread was bumped by you and then because of that by other people.
-
Not really, it was bumped in the 28th first, hence why it was so high in trending
-
It was in latest when I looked, it was there due to other people, nothing about what you said checks out, there is no person who replied on the 28th when I looked, but If you leave link to said person that would be appreciated.
because of the huge community of console gamers, bungie may just want to give them destiny first, get some profit and then port it out a month later as devs normally do. With four consoles two of which with poor architecture, its going to take some time to develop this game as we know the game has been in development for ages. My guess is as soon as the game becomes golden (development has finished) they will work quickly to work on the pc as it is a platform of its own in some ways. However i believe that development of the game may be faster then what we would expect for a pc port due to the x64 architecture on the next-gen.
These are the words of "Ghost" Replied to op on the 28th
-
What makes you say that?
-
PCs are expensive, most are horrendously incapable of running games, they are complicated to play, the controls are difficult and finally Bungie's reason; not enough people play games on PC
-
You see the evidence you present is based on just your own experience. Strictly speaking numbers, PC's have the potential to run games more effectively than any of the alternatives. The controls being difficult is your opinion, many multi-platform gamers such as myself prefer different controls dependent on games being played. Such as a third person RPG I personally enjoy a game pad instead of M/KB, but for FPS I greatly prefer a M/KB. Considering Destiny is a FPS I would get more enjoyment out of using a M/KB. As for the amount of people that play on PC, Steam has 75million active users (active meaning played and/or purchased games recently). Unfortunately I can't show you a digital distribution for the sales figures since Valve does not release that information to the public. Some analysts say that PC digital sales are usually 70% or higher of overall sales.
horrendously incapable of running games
How so?
the controls are difficult
You can plug just about ANY gamepad into a PC, meaning you can use an xbox remote.
not enough people play games on PC
Steam recently passed XBL in active users.

Editado por Sprüngli: 1/31/2014 4:42:23 PM1. I have a computer with an i5 latest gen processor, cant even run KSP at lowest settings with no lag 2. How do you "plug in" a wireless controller 3. Im not just talking about Xbox, besides, steam includes games that dont require much of anything, i wonder how many people play Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4 on PC...
1. I have a computer with an i5 latest gen processor, cant even run KSP at lowest settings with no lag
What is your graphics card? The processor doesn't have to be great to play games, I have a laptop with an i3 270m and I can play BF4 on medium because I have a good GPU.
2. How do you "plug in" a wireless controller
You can buy adapters, or just use a wired one. Wired don't need batteries :P
3. I'm not just talking about Xbox, besides, steam includes games that dont require much of anything, I wonder how many people play Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4 on PC...
I play BF4 on PC and there are always dozens of servers with decent player counts even during the morning hours, and in the evening it's simply a matter of choosing one with the lowest ping. You are being terribly biased, you are basically the console version of a PC elitist.
-
1. Good point, i have a shit Graphics card, il give you that one 2.i could buy a new Xbox for the price of one controller 3.BF4 on console has hundreds-thousands of servers at any one time, and i still have to queue
-
2.i could buy a new Xbox for the price of one controller
Whee the hell are you looking that you're finding controllers that expensive?! I found adapters for both XB and PS controllers for USD$25 and PC controllers for as little as $20 and as high as $100 for some damned nice ones.
-
£35 Xbox 360 £40 Xbox 360 controller Yeah , you see my point?
-
Go aftermarket. There are some great options out there that cost less.
-
Yeah, but i need a decent graphics card for <£30 (<$50) :-(
-
Lol. So save up and get one! I spend about $600USD on building a computer 6 years ago. Haven't had to upgrade since, and i won't have to again for about another 8 or 9 years. Save up for something good, it's worth it in the end.
-
I have a good computer, its fast, newish, has W7 pro, but a seriously shit graphics card, my friend has a pc with 1/4 of the power but can run KSP on full everything due to his graphics chip (Nvidia )
-
Gotcha. Yeah, definitely upgrade that thing. Like i said go for something good. Nvidia is pretty sweet. They've got some damned nice v-cards out there for pretty good prices. I'm a bit of a Radeon fan, myself. They can be pricier, but holy hell, they're totally worth it.
-
Fair nuff, my mum is pretty damn clever with hardware and coding, and I'm taking Computing GCSE so il be able to do it myself in <6 months
-
No coding necessary, thank god, but it's nice to have someone who can help you. My dad taught me how to build PCs in the late 90's. Nothing's really changed since (also thank god, lol), at least not on the actual building aspect.
-
Yeah, still all about the cpus, gpus, graphics cards and motherboards
-
Besides, i said i could, and i can
