Xbox One has been released in 13 countries and sold 1.2 million consoles on launch week
PS4 has been released in 32 countries and sold 2.1 million consoles which is over 3 weeks
No official numbers have been released for xbox one, but the Xbox is right up there with the PS4 especially when it releases for 32 countries as well next year.
Just saying though that you can sell consoles as fast as you want but the same about 160 million people who bought a ps3 or xbox 360 last generation will buy a xbox one or ps4 this generation. There is a cap to the gaming market and it has not grown since last generation and if anything has shrunk. So sales right now will be exponential if anything.
Also I thought it was interesting that the previous fastest selling console in the UK was the PSP, which sucked compared to any other console released recently besides the Vita so I don't know why that was the fastest selling.

Numbers dont mean a thing. Its just like a porn site you see, you click on the 'most viewed' category and its a load of bull. Just because a high number of people have watched the dutty video doesnt necassarily mean its good. In the same way, just because a tonne of people have bought a certain console doesnt make it superior. Its subjective....just like porn.

There is a cap to the gaming market, which is why Microsoft are the smart ones this generation by offering gaming plus entertainment.

Regarding your top two paragraphs. You're forgetting Europe only starting selling them last friday and they have yet to be sold in Japan. You're presenting that information with incomplete information and from a bias prospective as really those "32 countries in 3 weeks" have really been "2 countries in 3 week and 30 in a few days"

Whatever they sell at launch is most likely what they will sell for the week, unless there are returns. There isn't going to magically be more after the first couple days so my information isn't incomplete. And like I said it doesn't matter its going to end up being 50/50 again there aren't millions of more gamers out there since last generation especially since tablets and smartphones take a large chip out of gaming. So its just exponential right now with both consoles.
