I like genetics but I'm not a big fan of medicine, it's okay I suppose, but I prefer genetics. I also like engineering, fringe science, technology, weird world science and theoretical physics. I am actually studying forensic biology at university.

Editado por Mr Medicine: 7/18/2013 7:24:28 PMMy sister is currently studying forensics too. Medical books are a lot more technical, where as genetics is easy to grasp and provides a lot of interesting insights, I find. I also tend to read chemistry books (highly recommend periodic tales and the disappearing spoon). I have also recently read the Physics books "The Elegant Universe" and "A Brief History of Time", both interesting but a bit more tedious then the others. If you like genetics and want to read some books I personally suggest "The Violinists Thumb" by Sam Kean, it's humorous and provides great, up to date, content on the history of our species and how we have evolved. Also Richard Dawkins "The Selfish Gene" and Matt Ridley's "Genome".

I heard of the Human Genome Project, although I haven't gotten round to reading up on epigenetics yet. I like medical things like positron emmission tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging and x-rays. I like nuclear and particle physics. None of this stuff I know much about because it's not my field but I've read a bit on them and they're interesting...
-
Indeed they are, what is your field? I don't recall you saying.
-
I don't have a field... I'm starting up my course in September...
-
What's your course is?
-
I that that sentence needs some readjusting...
-
Apologies, my phones auto correct changed it. *What's your field of study going to be in?
-
Hopefully forensic biology
