Hey guys! Now before you go on thinking that this is a bash-thread on the Bible, it is quite the opposite, I assure you!
I decided to show you this series of videos where Voddie Baucham speaks about why he chooses to believe the Bible, and I highly recommend that you watch the whole lecture, as Mr. Baucham makes some very, very good points on the legitimacy of the Bible.

As stated in the video by Mr. Baucham, the most important question to any Christian is as follows, "Why do you believe the Bible?", which is a question that can be roughly translated into, "Why do you believe what you believe?" I think this is a very important question to anyone who believes the Bible, especially for those of you who don't know why you believe the Bible.

The problem I have with what he is saying is that he mentions that he believes in it because it is a collection of historical documents by eye witnesses, which is fine, but every relgious book like the Quran or the Pali Canon claims to be written by eye witnesses too so how can you chose one over the other based on that argument? Personally I think holy scriptures have been written so many times in different ways that they evolve into different religions, there are a huge number of passages from different holy texts that tell the same story, just with different names and places. Even religious texts before the bible was written share many similarities and stories.
