It's so laughable how the Shatter damage from it is basically nonexistent. No actual damage beyond the initial direct hit with the Kamas. Threadrunner's Whirlwind Maelstrom Aspect does better overall damage. The Kamas themselves should continue hitting the enemies, dealing the same damage as the direct hit of the initial throw, at least periodically, in addition to the Slow and Freeze tornado they create, otherwise, what's the point in making it stay on the boss? Alternatively, why not have it create a bunch of Stasis Crystals around the targets that it Freezes, before Shattering? That would work too.
You can equip star eater scales on like 3 different supers and they become 3 of the top 5 heaviest hitting supers in the game.
Squall is an add clear/control super. It's not supposed to do tons of damage. That's what your other supers are for lol.

Its not even good as an add clear super mate. Tether or the high damage supers you are talking about are soing it better/as good. I have better results in gm's when i throw a duskfield nade and shoot at the ennemies / shatter the big crystal inside. Than throwing the most useless hunter super after spectral blades. I just throw it like i would throw a nade...doesnt matter at all where and when i use it, it wont save me, it wont melt a boss, it wont clear a wave of adds fast enough (or at all if the tornado decides to focus a tanky ennemy or a wall )

Worse than spectral blades. And if you can't freeze a room full of adds and save yourself, you're using it wrong.

I dont even know why you talk about nova warp when i talk about "worst hunter supers" And what i said about the super in a room full of add isnt that i cant survive thanks to it. Its that i get the same results with my abilities already. (Except i have a better damage putput since im already shooting with my guns)

Squall isn't a damage super. It's a control super. You use it to freeze enemies en masse, and that either kills them or assists in killing them.
-
It’s a devastating crowd control super. IMO it’s best used in conjunction with weapons like tether is.
-
Yeah but some of us numbskull Hunters like to think that all of our supers should deal bulk ad clear and boss DPS and champ melting and they should all have Wolfpack rounds while they do it.

Additionally, they need to fix the bug that prevents kills from Silence and Squall's Shatter counting as Super kills. Currently, only kills from the initial throw count as Super kills.

No, they don't. The super is insane at what it was designed to do, which is make a room full of adds freeze. Hunters have at least 3 boss DPS supers, golden gun, tether, and the arc spear. They do not need a 4th.
-
Why would you waste a super on add clear?
-
Its not a waste yo use a super on add clear lol. Its one of the best ways to use supers especially as a team you know...gathering orbs...chaining supers together non stop.. I suppose you are the kind of player who uses his super 3 times per activity where oyher players use it 3 times more often than you do x) (Gotta love the wellocks who almost never use their well)

I'm a warlock main. Half my supers are meant for add clear.

Editado por rrrhino: 4/11/2024 3:29:31 PMBb might be better for add clear Edit : bb is blade barrage

I mean maybe... if they happen to be mobbed up like that, but no CC... no weapon combo effects. When you dps a boss or anything that doesn't freeze for that long, they shatter over and over... and over in quick succession, even a boss tormenter won't be able to rush through that stagger. That's why Thunderlord combos so well with S&S on Revenant Hunter using StarEaters. StarEaters is great with every subclass... it rivals Orpheus Rigs on void. That x4 feast Tether is fantastic. It comes near the efficacy and uptime as dedicated specialist affinity exotics. Like Orpheus and Nighthawk... it's right there with them where they're strongest. And both those kits are S-tier. It can do everything. That's hyperbolics... it can't, lol. But it's my favorite exotic right now. StarEaters is God Tier.
