People dont only get banned for cheating in pvp. Having a cheat open in pve can get you just as banned. You cannot seriously complain about them not banning cheats at the same time they banned someone. It can be something as simple as having a cheat for another game running or that your buddy doesnt want to tell you the truth to save face, bottom line is that out of thousands of bans less than 20 have been overturned so the odds are your bud's account is toast and not coming back unless they want to start over from scratch on a new account.
