Just besides the fact that this run of CoS (Boss Battle) was only 8 minutes and 31 seconds and i got two guns and the exotic which proves my point about the troubled difficulty problem with the raids in general, i finally got the raid exotic and i was happy enough to got the recluse some days earlier so i could nicely compare those two side by side.
So the Tarrabah, just for those who did not know, is a 750 rpm 30 mag smg with a fairly low recoil. with the exotic perk that you can "load" it with kills until the "ravenous beast" perk activates which you can release with holding the reload button for 2 seconds and then its a very high rpm firing smg with increased reload speed, and it lasts 7 seconds where you can extend it by one second with a kill.
hmm..
sounds better than it actually is..
while its an "ok".. weapon the relatively low 750 rpm makes it a bit harder to actually kill adds fast enough to load the weapon and the 30 rounds magazine contributes to this by having to reload about twice to even get to the "release the beast" mode.. then you need to find an environment that has enough adds that you can feed the perk kills or else you will run out of it and have to start new.. the one second timer makes it also quite unpleasant to "go hunting for kills" so its almost only viable in large scale add scenarios and there you have a variety of weapons to chose from..
like the huckleberry, the breakneck, the recluse , prometheus lens, bad juju and more..
also compared to the recluse, the recluse does all of the above but is a legendary weapon, activates the perks from alone you dont have to take care of that , reactivates instantly and has a higher base dps that allows for faster add killing in its normal state ..
all in all i think the tarrabah needs a severe buff if it should be used and not just be the completionist trophy it is now.
- ravenous beast needs to start with 10 seconds
- ravenous beast needs to add 2 seconds per kill
- needs to have 10 more rounds in the mag
- the the reserves need to go up 25%
then its actually a decent weapon .. not great but okay..

2 RespuestasSure its 1 second per kill. But if you DPS a boss it lasts for a lot longer ...because its timer is based on damage . On large enemies like ogres and raid bosses it can last up to 14 seconds. And 14 seconds at that firerate with an infinite ammo well = almost out of kinetic ammo.
