As many of you are probably aware, after February they are dropping free games for PS3/ps Vita and will strictly only have 2 every month for PS4.
I think the only benefit in this is possible better ps4 games for PS plus every month, but I have a feeling that likely won't happen. Even if they did, most popular titles everybody owns already. That just kind of sucks for those that own all systems for those free games.
They aren't dropping the price at all either or making any other significant changes. I understand for most people this probably won't affect them though. What do you guys think? Good or bad decision?

Editado por Sean: 12/25/2018 3:44:08 PMUsually, there is only one GOOD game that becomes free each month, so this is good

If the quality of games remains the same or lowers, then I'm cancelling.

I see it as this. I'm paying simply for my ability to play online with friends. Everything else is just a nice lil bonus. I've definetly enjoyed some of the free game releases. Deus ex mankind divided honestly became one of my fav games. And maybe being free added a lil to its appeal. But still. I really enjoyed it. I'll never play it again prolli. But still lol.

1 RespuestaThey should at least add one more game to the PS4 pool if they’re not changing the price, even if it’s a small indie game. Indie games are my favourite things from PS Plus because it allows me to play smaller games I never once would have

I don't have a PS, but with Xbox running the same system for over a year now, I can say it is meh. Most titles are indies. One time it had a bad one, like 1* rating... Some, like all the assassins creed games, are nice. It's a bit of a gamble each month. Not making arguments, but this is how you get all the exclusives. They know what makes money, keep the rate, and pull privileges. I don't like it as much as most, and it doesn't affect me...

1 RespuestaEditado por Capt Explodabob: 12/17/2018 12:00:11 AMSame price, fewer features. The price should be adjusted accordingly.

All the games I got free and added to my library, haven't played one yet. I don't play my PS3 anymore, although its still hooked up, so that's not going to affect me either.

2 RespuestasNot even exaggerating, 80% of the free games they offer, at least on PS4, are garbage. I can't imagine the offerings for 2 dead platforms being better.
-
Thank -blam!- I dont play ps4 or xbox anymore. They rip you off with their bs

Editado por Swiftlock: 12/17/2018 8:14:42 AMDoesn't mean a thing. Any PS3/Vita games that would wind up on PS+ in the first place are already dirt cheap.

Can’t even remember the last time I even used my ps3 so I guess it doesn’t really affect me

2 RespuestasEditado por LahDsai: 12/15/2018 8:24:45 AMI have mixed feelings. On the one hand this is probably due to some kind of compensation publishers get for offering their games for free. As the PS3 and vita populations migrate, you're essentially paying for something no one is using (ie: wasting money). It makes sense to drop that service. On the other hand, it looks like PS5 may be backwards compatable. Offering older games for free could really be a great way to stimulate interest in older games (of which there is a MASSIVE library) which are essentially pure profit as there's no production costs and very little maintenance necessary in terms of patches. On a more personal note, I still play my Vita and those free games were often very much welcomed as advertising for Vita never seemed like a priority and there are lots of great games I still haven't heard of. My PS3 is still hooked up as well and it's nice to go back and pick up classics I just never got around to. Mass Effect 2 was free a few years ago as was the Bioshock trilogy, and PS+ was my excuse to finally play all of them (as well as pick up Mass Effects 1 and 3.I still haven't gotten to Tomb Raider, Sly Cooper, Beyond Good and Evil, or Prototype 2 among many others. The backlog is real.

1 RespuestaI never cared about the "free" PS4 games. It's lame how you don't even actually own the free games with PS+. The PS3 player base is I'm assuming really small by now and any PS3 game is pretty cheap anyway.

2 Respuestasit's only a negative. As it is, the games that are free are usually games that are filled with microtransactions, so they're really free to play games that had a $60 price tag anyway. At least, with the old way, it made me regret buying my Vita less
