From what we've seen there aren't rocket launchers, and machine guns have been replaced with the new Gatling guns.

There are rocket launchers. There is an Arc Hakke Rocket Launcher. It was used in gameplay

What you haven't already been told is that the Gatling gun isn't actually a heavy weapon, it's clasified as an auto rifle primary, so you will be able to use it allot during both PvE and PvP if you get it.

The Gatling is just an exotic. There's only one.

Really? Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure I've seen two of different colors in the trailers and reveals.

Nope. That's what is exotic about it. They've taken to making Exotics more exotic, which is fantastic. It's not just a reskinned legendary with a special perk.

Exactly! That's the great part. You've seen the exotic, and you want it. It's like the Gjallarhorn again. Exotics are special now. I want the Sunshot. I saw the replica of it before the gameplay, I thought it was a cool looking Legendary. Then I found out it was exotic. Then I found out it was an energy weapon. Then I found out it's perks. I get the feeling it will be my favorite hand cannon rather quickly.

Shoot I need to find out where all this info is coming from I've never even heard of the sunshot. I'm just looking forewords to playing the game from the start, just learning all the secrets and hunting down exotics. One thing I hope for is more exotic quests, (although non involving pvp) having to actually work for it makes it so much more rewarding, like the exotic swords.

There's these Lost Sectors in patrol now that will not be marked on your map, at all. Means you have to hunt them down or happen upon them. It's theorized that Exotics maybe hidden there.

Ooh, fun. I'll give it about two weeks after we have access to them before a detailed map of each lost sector is carefully drawn up and posted on the forums for all to see, but still.

I don't know man. Black Spindle was hidden for a while. Time will tell. All I know is I'm going to wait before I try and start googling stuff.

Well yeah, the exotics will be hard to find, but maps being drawn is just a matter of walking around the borders and sketching out the shapes of the terrain. It will be a while after that to find all the secrets, but there will be cartographers and they will acre incredibly fast.
