So what? Wow, I can play against my friends and see who is best although really we already know who is best at PVP within our group so who gives a shit. At least ranked play lists would have given us who are not PVP gods (but better than our friends) something to aim at but this is just dull. It serves no purpose at all other than that streamers and Youtubers can organise tournaments and battle it out for their own financial gain.
To Bungie, I DID NOT BUY DESTINY TO SUBSIDISE TWITCH STREAMERS AND/OR BLUE VEINED FLUTES ON YOUTUBE. Nowhere on the box does it say I will pay you to add content to fund the lifestyle of other players.
EDIT: To idiots saying, "No-one is forcing you to play." I am not saying I am, I am asking why people are so excited by this new feature. Personally I feel ranked playlists would have been better and that this is a niche feature aimed at a small minority.

Well for some it allows them to just walk around the maps and admire the detail in them without worrying about anything. Others may use it as a test range to try out drop off, impact, etc of new guns. Others can use it to train less experienced team members in PvP. Others can have clan/faction wars. There's quite a large number of things to do with what will be given. It'd be nice with options to tweak actually game play settings, but those may come in time. One idea I read on reddit was to have everyone wear a glowing shader and turn the skybox to night and the mode to inferno and play hide and seek style game. Not everything has to be based on the streamers. Maybe they put this in here for people to have....dare I say...fun? No that could never happen.
-
I personally am going to enjoy beating the shit out of my friends while following whatever rules they come up with. They better not pick shotguns only😈

1 RespuestaNow when I get tough online and say "1v1 me scrub", I have to remember that they will actually be able to. OH SHI-

Editado por HyperVigiIant: 8/18/2016 9:18:03 PMI almost never use private matches in any other online shooter. Then again, I don't stream/participate in tournaments or want to play vs the same people over and over again... I'm happy for anyone who wanted invite only games, though...
-
Another mode most of the players wont use.
-
MGMT. Private matches should have been released 3 years ago. Holding them until now was pure on greedy. They are basically saying, okay we're done with content, you guys can create your own fun until we release Destiny 2. We couldnt release PMs earlier cause the competitive scene might not of bought our DLCs.
-
Did you never play halo? I mean, I guess not everybody used custom matches, but a huge portion of the community did use them and loved the feature. For many people, custom matches was a big reason they loved the game so much. I mean, these aren't really custom matches, but at least I can get together with a big group of friends and just dick around.
-
1 RespuestaInstead of going into a private match to see who's best, why wouldn't go into it for fun. That's what most normal people will be doing. Most people don't play games just to compete and see who is better. What's the point in that? Chill out and have some -blam!-ing fun.
-
On the bright side, you can finish bounties quickly with private matches
-
Yeah I could care less about private matches...would rather have more pve stuff and the loot pool opened up to include every gun destiny has created...go out with a bang instead of a whimper
-
1 RespuestaI kinda see what you are saying. Sure there are some crappy reasons why ppl want private matches, most obviously for the d!ck measuring contests and for boosting, but you have to look at the bright side. One is that now we will have less of these uber sweaty tryhards that like to harrass you with hate mail queueing up for local public matches. Those of us who aren't super competitive and play to have fun don't have to get destroyed as often by individuals who would stab their momma in the back if it meant getting any advantage whatsoever. If these d!ck measuring tryhards want to get together by having tournaments and isolating themselves from the rest of us, I'm all for it. Something everyone can be happy about, imo.
-
What are you talking about. A whole lot of non streamers and you tubers have asked for this since launch.

Editado por CatMan Snowball: 8/18/2016 4:19:56 PMYou do realize that nearly 75% of the community plays cuticle regularly, and that's based off of destiny tracker data? So this actually benefits at least half or more of them Plus, come on man. Stop being so negative at this look at all the positives! Rest weapon testing to see how it stands against others with no varying changes. Fun mini games on every map(Hide and seek, minor Leauge sparrow racing, and just fun constraints like swords only) And play with friends Explore maps
-
I kind of agree

-
2 RespuestasSmall minority? Dude... People have been begging for this since day one. You're clueless.
-
To answer your question about why people are excited about PM is this; They can create their own version of Crucible games such as sidearms only or melee only. Or even create some fun custom ruled games to enjoy.
-
3 RespuestasWhy people have to work to feed themself, have a place to live in and sleep just to stay alive for another day? What's the point of everything, snowflake?
-
1 RespuestaYou aren't asking a god damned thing, just bitching.
-
I like to play my friends, we use classic 3v3 and try to match the searches up so we're in the same game. What's not to like? Nothing better than playing against your friends in trials.
-
I like it! I want to play on a crucible map on my own time when I want! ~TheGreatNike
-
It's a good clan tool for setting up tournaments for fun, playing stupid mini games you come up with, testing out new weapons and perks you might want to try without getting destroyed, for practice, to learn a new map, to be always able to play mayhem modes (because they're fun).
-
People are so excited for this because it's finally something new and worthwhile as a game improvement. lol
