Fanmade and much anticipated Star Wars game, using the assets of the previously shut down Battlefront 3, is unfortunately not in the works anymore. Apparently Lucas Arts was all for allowing them to continue, but EA wanted them to have no part of it. Rip

2 RespuestasFUUUUUUUСK!
-
It is sad indeed
-
15 RespuestasYeah because EA knows it will be much more popular than their half assed game.
-
4 RespuestasEA payed for rights to make a star wars game, so get you're dicks out of you're brain
-
1 RespuestaEA literally could just remaster Galaxy in Turmoil up to modern standards, release it as Battlefront 2, and EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY.
-
Evil Asshole strikes again.
-
3 RespuestasLol no shit, this was obviously going to happen. EA paid a -blam!- load of money to be able to have the rights to make the Star Wars games, this was never anything more than a pipe dream. The best case scenario is that EA and Dice take some of these ideas, listen to the fan base, make a better battlefront next time.
-
I'm pretty sure almost everyone saw this coming.
-
They probably knew this would happen. It could be possible that they were never "making" a star wars game at all. This gave them a lot of publicity. Enough so that they already announced that they are making a game that will not be kickstarted until after a fully playable demo is released.
-
Galaxy in Turmoil would've never been released, I'm surprised it wasn't shut down earlier. It was just a publicity stunt for the developers.

Editado por Caggus: 8/4/2016 3:47:27 AMEA paid a lot of money for the rights to make Star Wars games and Galaxy in Turmoil would instantly flatline their own Battlefront because it's so horrendously bad. It's unsurprising that this was shut down.
-
3 RespuestasMake battlefront like game. Allow mods. Release starwars models "accidentally". Profit.
-
2 RespuestasEA paid a shitload of money for the rights to make Star Wars games, so I'm not surprised. Just because you're a fan, doesn't give you a right to ignore intellectual property laws. Just like I don't have a right to build a house on property you own, simply because I REALLY, REALLY like it.
-
Alright, I have a 3 step plan. Step 1: Grab a Molotov Step 2: Head to EA HQ Step 3: Burn it down to the ground
-
I'm surprised they weren't shut down sooner
-
assuming because it's kind of hard to protect your IP when you are allowing people to use it.
-
This is very dissapointing. I hope EA gets the necessary backlash. Dick move, EA.
-
I'm glad they prepared for it and are starting a new Battlefront-like game instead. Still sucks that it happened though.
-
1 RespuestaI can only hope they are continuing to make it in secrecy and give it a new name.
-
1 RespuestaThere's no reason to live anymore.

Money always wins
-
I read that they are still building the same game (Battlefront-style), but with a new, unrelated setting to Star Wars.
-
1 RespuestaI knew this was going to happen, but when I heard steam was all for it I got slightly hopeful I could be mistaken, but didnt the devs say they are still working on it, but have to lean away from star wars?
-
Not sure why everyone thought this game would be released. Happens all the time when people want to re make a game with no permission.
-
I smell bs. No way would Disney (who owns "star wars" would allow a free game, when they sold licensing to ea, (dice, respawn) and Lego games.
