If you haven't noticed it...
Yea, plenty of single fire weapons, like thorn, TLW, Hand Cannons in general, and SOME Scout Rifles, have "Spray Patterns" where bullets veer off randomly. And calling that a spray pattern is being nice. There should not be an Element of RNG to where a bullet goes.
I know you love screwing us over with RNG everywhere else you can with the Cryptarch, loot packages and everything else, but a bullet should go where my reticle points. If you do want to give bullets a pattern in which they veer off, make it a pattern we can learn and compensate for, NOT RNG BASED. You really need to look at Counter-Striker, if you have no idea what a spray pattern is inside of a video game. Want to make it less accurate? Give it a larger Spray Pattern, or more recoil.

2 RespuestasIts called a cone of fire. It's deliberately and placed in first person shooters to simulate external factors such as handshake, wind, bodily movement, etc. No one. I mean no one can hold their weapon perfectly steady and land every single shot in rapid succession in the same hole.

You Clearly have never shot a gun before.

3 RespuestasYep, the worst appears to be Vex Mythoclast. You used to be able to single fire this thing like a Scout Rifle with pinpoint accuracy, now it's completely random and can miss by as much as 5 degrees!

CSGO Has an element of RNG in the spray patterns. If you turn sv_cheats on in a private match, you can then turn off recoil with another command. It will be the same pattern every time. But nornla servers don't have sv_cheats on or no recoil activated, so the spray follows a general guideline, but will still be semi-random, in that the bullets will form the same pattern on the wall, but each one will be unique; they won't be the same exact pattern. Other CS games though I think just had a set pattern, and if you could counter it (heh, cwutididther) then you could just be a human laser cannon that shot a bull's eye every shot.

You apparently have never fired a gun before.

It's the most frustrating thing when your shots don't go where you aim

..no shit eh!!.. ..i'm crypt~rank 98 and my crypt~rank 28 buddy has waaaay more relevant drops than me..

This reminds me of the good ol days of bloom arguments in the halo reach forums.

Every weapon his a range. If you shoot outside that range it's more likely to miss. It's closer to a real gun. If you shoot a pistol at 50 ft you can pretty easily hit your target. Now if you move that target back to 150 ft you won't hit it unless you're really good or really lucky. P.S. every gun has a pattern. Learn the spray pattern and you'll be just as effective as you used to be.

10 RespuestasYes they should. Shot grouping 100% reliably is for children's games. Anyone who's ever handled a firearm knows that there's no such thing as blasting away with any type of weapon and having all shots fall perfectly in one behind the other. That's silly children's fantasy logic.

I'd imagine that not every projectile would leave the muzzle with the same trajectory. . Due to weapon harmonics and projectile variations. . In the game though - it gives one a better chance of hitting a target..as the pattern covers a larger area
