Look, I know I'm not the first person to post about this and I won't be the last, but I'm just trying to bring this issue to light. I've been temporarily restricted from playing pvp and I have not done anything wrong. I am glad Bungie is instituting this policy. Overall, I believe it will help improve the quality of gameplay. However, the way they are going about it right now is absolutely ridiculous. I have never modified software, assets, hardware, or firmware. Hell, I don't even know how to. I've never modified my internet connection or pirated any parts of the game or impersonated any employees. I have absolutely no interest in ANY of that. I just love playing this game. I love playing with my friends and even random people from lfg sites. I love working with them whether it's completing a few bounties or attempting to go flawless in trials. The Destiny community is one of the best gaming communities I've ever been a part of. My problem with these restrictions and bans is that Bungie claims they have definite evidence behind their reasoning. If this evidence is so clear-cut and unmistakable, then why can they not offer any explanations to those that have been banned/restricted? If someone I've been playing with has been abusing the system, then I need to be notified about it so that I never play with that person again. If I've been leaving too many games or something, then at the very least issue a warning saying not to leave any more games or else 'x" will happen. I understand that many guilty people have been rightly punished, and for that I am more than glad, but if Bungie would explicitly state their reasons for these bans/restrictions, then there would not be any more of this whiny "I didn't do anything" bullshit. Bungie could reply, "You did 'z', earning you this consequence." It would be the end of the discussion. You can go ahead and check out my stats on any website you'd like. I'm not the best player, but I sure as hell would never resort to cheating in order to best my opponents. I work hard to better my skill and talent in this game and I'm sorry, but if you were falsely accused of cheating, you would be just as pissed and confused as I am. There needs to be a better system of communication about these restriction and bans, and that's undeniable.
