No. The raids/strikes are easy because we've out leveled them. PoE on 35 is doable, but it is certainly not a walk in the park.
Even if what you are saying had a speck of truth in it, think about what you are saying. Bungie thinks that the best way to make Destiny, a game centered around becoming the biggest badass in the universe, harder, is to simply make the player less powerful. Instead of, oh, I don't know, INTRODUCING HARDER CONTENT. Idiot.

Oh 2.0 made guardians weaker? Can you link me to that? I was under the impression that they balanced weapons. No idea they also balanced the classes. (Sarcasm)
-
Equip a lvl 20 with white gear and what do you get? A weak guardian. Bungie has made gear and weapons the determining factor when deciding strength. So, by making weapons less powerful, yes, they do weaken class strength. Gjallarhorn was OP. Everyone understands that. It needs a nerf. Icebreaker does not, and Black Hammer should not be nerfed in a way that makes the weapon useless. Sc slayerage (aka The Legend Himself) has made a video detailing why Black Hammer will become useless. I would suggest checking him out on YouTube. Also, why are Fusion Rifles getting nerfed? Who still uses them? No one does. They need a buff if anything. All in all, Bungie is going about this the wrong way, and you would be remiss in defending them. Especially considering their track record with Destiny.

Well unless you plan on going around punching everything, then yeah the patch will make you deal less damage. Balance only happened for PvP, while PvE got the majority of the nerfs. I'm looking forward to some interesting PvP, but they went overboard with the nerf hammer.
-
You do realize that there are other guns than Breaker, Hammer, or GHorn that does damage right? I have all 4 big guns that were Nerfed and GHorn is the only one I kinda use and that's only because I recently ascended VoC and that replaced my hawkmoon. Before that GHorn collected dust in my vault. That being said I have no issues whatsoever completing any of the content that I have chosen to do. So yeah just because they finally balanced a few guns that a lot of people don't even use isn't gonna change how well most people are gonna be able to complete content. You are just another person that thinks the sky is falling when all that's happening is a slight drizzle.
-
How? I think most of the rebalancing is good. But the major sticking points are the guns that actually matter. It doesn't really matter if you use Fatebringer or VoC or Vex in a non-burn situation. You'll do fine with any of them. But the problems comes at key intervals during strikes. Everyone pulls out a black hammer or icebreaker. Everyone with a Ghorn pulls it out at other spots. In this way, the nerf affects a majority of the player base in a negative way. PvE didn't need balanced. The game has been out for almost a year, that's why we are good at it, not because of the weapons. We learned and adapted. Powerful weapons make the grind worth it. Nerfing gjallarhorn has no positive benefit for the community. None. Bungie thinks it does because they are dumb. More likely though, they know it's a bad idea, but they want us to move away from gjallarhorn and on to TTK weapons.
-
You hit the nail on the head. "Everyone pulls out * insert gun*" When everyone in a game is using the same exact things it usually means that something is wrong. Usually the case being the weapon is too powerful.
-
Or that it is particularly suited to that situation. But so what? PoE is the worst offender in that regard. Acutely specific armor and weapons not useful in any other scenario. I don't think there is anything wrong with using your maximum firepower at every point in the game. But again, of course it's not game breaking. Just unnecessary.
-
You're missing the point. I would invite you to read LeftTurnus comment below. He outlines the problem quite nicely. Also, get out of here with your snide comments. Of course there are more than 4 weapons. Of all those weapons, how many have the White Nail perk? Exactly. Black Hammer had the highest DPS of any weapon against slow, spongey bosses, but is ineffective against faster, moving, and all around weaker targets. This is why it's so good. Destiny is full of spongey, slow moving bosses. Your grimoire, playtime, and k/d speak volumes when it comes to your reasoning.
-
Ah so now we have come full circle. You have half a leg to stand on so you bring in stats to try and make your argument even though my K/D has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I think we are done here.
-
Refute my claims, as I purposefully did yours before mentioning your k/d, and then get back to me. Your stats are simply the icing on the cake.
