I am for the most part a PvE exclusive player because I am not a fan of the Crucible. Its not because I am not very good at it. I am not very good at Battlefield 4, but I still enjoy the hell out of the game. Its mostly because the general lack of skill required to do well in PvP and the frustrating amount of exploitation with certain features. For the most part as long as you Blink all over the place, use a Shotgun/Fusion Rifle, use Thorn/Last Word or get used to using your super in a panic you will always be decent at PvP. Which for me is a deal breaker. There is no skill involved with that. You mostly just mindlessly run around staring at your radar and slide/blink at your enemy and shove your shotgun in their chest and hope they don't use their shotgun first. There is no real strategy with it. There is no tactical placement of your team or really anything resembling a firefight usually. Its just run around and hope to god you fire your shotgun before they do or that you spam your primary before they get too close with their shotgun. Then there are the people who exploit blue weapons like the Helios FR5 despite the fact that they outleveled the weapon a long time ago. They only use it because they know it gives them an unnatural advantage over other people using fusion rifles that are on level to where they are. The poll I did above is the most commonly used "Strategies" and I use that word for lack of a better term that I see in PvP and I am curious as to what people think is the cheapest way to win in the Crucible. Also for the record I spam shotguns in PvP. Not because I want to, but because its pretty much the only way to get a kill seeing as everyone else is being just as cheap.
