No, only point one is correct. You not picking up ammo or doors not opening can also be YOUR lag, or the hosts natural lag. The vast majority of online CONSOLE players will not have the knowledge, patience or even the spare cash to do a lag switch (not expensive per se, but its money that isnt needed). I have never seen lag switch on current gen. As an example, I know how, i have the cash, but i cant be arsed & i just wouldnt bother lol!

You can get a lag switch for about 20$ or you can build one pretty simply also. I just googled the shit and finding the information was pretty easy. If you want one it's a lot easier to get one than it was like 10 years ago. Destiny has the worst p2p connections I've ever encountered and it's probably due to this technology being easier to acquire.

It only happens when it's really bad or the host is lagging therefore brings everyone's connection down with them.
