Bungie shafts veteran players with digital exclusive content.
Basically, new players who get the full game collector's edition plus the three DLC for the same price we payed for the game at launch ($80). Then they also get 3 shaders, emotes and exp class items and the VIP edition offered to those who have the season pass get a rinky dink single shader, sparrow and emblem at $40.
I'm gonna have to hold off buying this because bungie will just release everything at a better price for noobs. I feel like an idiot getting the game at launch when I have to keep selling out money and noobs continue to pay less.
Bungie should fix this preorder fiasco, if not, I'm just gonna have to quit destiny. I don't like getting spit in the face of by the developer. I can't believe they are disrespecting the veteran fans and these people are going to let this happen.
EDIT 1: It's not about the price of the expansion, it is about the content. Veterans generally paid $80 for the game+2 DLC+exclusives. Then we can either pay $40 for VIP edition or pay another $80 to rebuy content we already own just to get exclusive items that the noobs are able to get. I don't mind getting the same content as the Collector's Edition with the $40. The $40 does not bother me.
EDIT 2: I main a PS4 account with 3 level 34s so stop commenting on my old level 27 Xbox titan.

You've been collecting motes and spending for 10 months now. They get awarded some for buying a game that has been out for 10 months and you're complaining? They're way behind compared to you, not to mention the learning curve. Remember your first time running Vault of Glass? Now imagine having to learn VoG, Crota, PoE and The Taken King. All while learning about EVERY subclass and ability including the new ones, all the maps, what time heavy spawns and where, on every map. Every little detail you take for granted needs to be learned but now on a much larger scale and a lot faster if they want to be successful. They deserve all of that stuff, you have been having fun for 10 more months. It's not like they're being handed a Gjallarhorn, they're being handed what we all cringe at when we level up a faction and receive from the postmaster. In the words of Aaron Rodgers, "R-E-L-A-X"

1 RespuestaYou got to play the older dlc's while they were still relevant. That's why you paid more than someone who gets them now. The content from HoW and TDB won't be relevant anymore so Bungie is letting people buy them for cheaper. It makes sense if you aren't a price about it.

The veterans are finally getting the all black shader we have been begging for since launch. WE also get a special sparrow and emblem that they will never get. I honestly think people are just being butthurt because the class items were called "Exotic". If they had said it was rare then no one would have lost their head. I mean the way I look at it they could call a bag of horse shit Exotic and everyone would get pissed that new players were getting. Unlike everyone else, who seem to be a bunch of self-absorbed, self-entitled, spoiled bunch of crybabies, I am going to download TTK and enjoy and not give a -blam!- that some newbie has a special little trinket that helps him level faster. It's not making him do more damage or giving him special skills so it's not even remotely important to the game.

I'm a day one player and I preordered the collectors TTK. I'd love the content from the digital download but really don't want to buy that on to of the £80 I've already spent.

Bare in mind this only goes to those that spend $80 on a game those are going to be a minority while the bulk will just get the $ game I don't agree with the digital ce version with none of the physical stuff is only $5 cheaper than the physical copy. A discounted digital ce edition should be availble for vets that gives them the items and emotes if they by the digital ce

2 RespuestasThe only way to make ourselves heard by Bungie and activision is to not buy TTK. Making us rebuy content to get parts of the dlc is low and underhanded. Without our money, they don't get paid. Do not preorder TTK and make them know that the community needs to be heard. Copy and paste this to spread the word!

I was a PlayStation guy for years, so I didn't deal with them throughout Halo, but when they sold out to Microsoft and shafted PC players with Halo I had a feeling they were a shit company with no ethics. I was right. They're a terrible company. Maybe the drones are good people, but the guys who run the company are scum. They'll continue to shaft players in the name of making money. But they'll never be a Rare or Blizzard. They don't give a damn about the games or the art of it all; all they care about is sucking every penny out of you they can manage. 1: im glad i payed up front and got to play this whole year. Got way more play out of destiny vanilla tdb and how than noobs will 2: makes it easier for new players to get into the game. Fine by me. Especially since the new cod had been dubbed 'call of destiny: titanfall'. Lets swell our ranks 3: im gonna have so much more sweet gear than those noobs
