I've mained a Titan and have since worked on a warlock. Got it to level 15 and I cannot stand glide. Tell me the increased boost perk is worth it? I've only unlocked increase control for now.
Also any good builds revolving around HotPf would be appreciated.

Focus burst is the best

Glide is awful. I'm have 350ish hours of played time as a warlock, and glide just sucks. Whenever I watch gameplay from Titans it makes me incredibly jealous.

Choose the initial burst perk and you will be fine
-
Also, for HoPF, try this build: Whichever grenade you choose Radiant skin or song of flame (only if your teammates utilize it) Flame shield --------------------------- Radiant will Gift of the sun -----------OR------------ Viking funeral Touch of flame Song of flame is amazing, but wasted if your teammates don't use it, so be careful when using it. If they stay close and use it, so many grenades can be thrown, the whole battlefield can be cleared. Otherwise, go raidiant skin for tanking damage. You don't want to use self res for HoPF, as you would be holding onto your super and that Chestpiece is built to use offensively and aggressively. Radiant will + gift of the sun will allow for the most grenades to be thrown. Viking funeral + touch of flame will not let you thrown quite as many, however it will allow you to ignite all enemies with each grenade and do a lot of DoT. Best used in unison with Firebolt grenade for dumb-throwing and consistently igniting 3 enemies each time.

It gets better. Regular glide is so slow but boosted or balanced glide work very well. Boosted gives you a huge boost of speed initially. Spamming it can make you go faster than the other 2 classes, and can be used to dodge almost as efficiently as a Hunter when used properly. After a few seconds it goes back to sluggish, but it's still much better than the default version. This option is best for speed (unless you use voidwalker with blink) Balanced glide is essentially an overall better version of glide. You go up and float down much faster, making it less floofy. Its feels about the same as lift does with balanced on. It also allows for the better maneuverability, allowing you to easily make jumps that the other classes struggle with. Glide has a higher learning curve than the other 2 as well. It can be used very, very efficiently, but is not as easy for many to use as double jump or lift. For me, it works much better overall than the other 2 jump abilities. I like the control I have with it that the other 2 lack in. The only downside I can think of is that you can't save yourself from going off of the map. There's the fact that it makes you a target, but with balanced glide and the first few seconds of boosted glide, that's not an issue. And otherwise, you can easily just stop gliding at any time (and start again to throw off enemies who try to follow your trajectory).

The initial boost of momentum perk is a must, Glide is definitely lacking without it. But with that perk, it's probably my favorite jump.
-
Oh it does if you put some lube on it, nah mean? ;) ;) ;)
-
No it doesn't get any better sadly.
-
Try cancelling the glide while in the air. Helps when being shot at.
-
1 RespuestaI feel this way about the hunter jump. How do you even get up or around anything with a hunter is beyond me.

Editado por Moist Omelette: 4/21/2015 7:41:07 PMYou need to get focused burst. Makes you go much faster

Focused burst is the best jump in the game
-
Increased speed. Only way to make it usable
-
Glide doesn't get better, you will forever be floofing around like the fairy you are :D
-
I like the build on my warlock. I'm very offensive with Radiance. Use Radiant Skin and fusion grenades and destroy everything.
-
Speed perk makes it usable
-
Nope. Floofing about never improves.
-
Titans mobility is the best, especially for moving around quickly as it's essentially a horizontal boost at any jump height. Hunter double jump (not triple) is second best. Glide you can get used to but it's not as good as the other 2
-
I have the opposite issue. I've killed myself so many times with Lift it's not even funny.
-
I'm getting used to it, but by God I hate that stall that happens when you mistime your second jump. I do feel like a helpless butterfly with it in PvP sometimes too. Warlocks should have kept Blink to themselves :).
-
Editado por BarryCrayon: 4/21/2015 6:16:00 PMYeah, it turns into blink eventually :D Edit: just realised you're a sunsinger, unlucky
-
You'll learn when to hit the second jump to do different things. To get the most height out of it, you have to double tap A (X) very quickly. Different timing results in different trajectories. And yes, boost does help, but not for extra height.
-
Once you get used to yo will love it.

2 RespuestasGlide is awesome if you know how to use it. It is slow but has the most distance and height. Boost helps a lot. It is great for flanking. You can glide high around corners while the enemy just walks around looking confused. Then you drop nades or just drop yourself and shoot them in the back. Fun times. Just do not use it out in the open much in PvP. Easy floating target.

Use focused burst. Closest thing to a Titans jump. It still sucks.
