I think you might just be playing with the wrong crowd. :-/ The group I typically play with is aged 30+... Made up of one friend I know personally, a friend of a friend (who isn't in the group), and three randoms from destinyLFG.net (a guy, his wife, and a third guy) who we have come to know well over time. Everyone in the group is cool, down to earth and no one is offensive in any way, shape, or form. That sucks that you've had that experience, and I do agree that it is rampant, as I've seen a lot of women harassed, verbally abused, condescended, etc. on the forums and online in game. :-(
