This is why 'equality' can't be, just so, achieved, as far as genders go. Men and Women are being educated in a different way, and they themselves learn to treat each gender in a different way. Your post may be written in an angry and hostile way, but it holds a lot of truth - there is inequality for both parties. Just that men have their disadvantages on a rather invisible level, much more in social aspects. While women can officially prove they're getting paid less despite having same degree or position like a man with the same job, you will barely see a man who claims [i]his[/i] equality being supported (just see this post and the following responses. But well, that may come from your slightly angry attitude here.) Now, what I actually want to say: There's a certain level of equality which I think we maybe don't even really want to or just, cannot reach. Right because we've always been treated individually due to our gender - we may not be able to deal with a different treatment so well. Just as you wrote here, simply said - women can't take sh#t, and maybe men also can't take overly sentimental sh#t. But nevermind, now to the important statement you made here: There are certain privileges women do have, and which you would also like to have - but you can't because you're [i]male[/i]. Obviously, it's not at all about which gender is more 'disadvantaged' than the other, but about the fact that [i]both genders[/i] have their issues to fight with, in this society. So, instead of hating each other, it would be damn helpful for this whole equalism-thing if everyone just showed a little bit more empathy. If (some) women wouldn't be so fixated on their equal rights only, and also tried to see the world from a man's point of view, maybe they'd understand their sometimes angry and hostile point of view that occasionally shows up, like here for example. Because men don't have the same official permission to claim their equality like women do - every guy has almost some sort of a social duty to support a girl that feels treated unfair due to her gender, while males are rather being smiled at, if they come up with their claims for equality. Of course such ignorance can make someone angry at times. Oh well. Society, what a funny thing. In the end, duck this, that doesn't lead to anyhere, anyway. TL;DR, OP, I think you've spoken a brutal, but honest truth in your post. Men have to fight with certain inequality due to their gender just as well, though they may not have exactly the same right to declare, I guess.

I totally got the gist of your post. I understand that equal opportunity means equal consequences for either men or women. But it also means treating both sexes with dignity and due diligence. If they warrant a name calling for their opinions, then either they came off as an asshole, or whoever replied is a little too happy in disrespecting others (we classify them as trolls). Either way, equal rights should be shared by both men and women, but so too must courtesy be shared.
