On a related note, if the person jumping from the mid ledge to get the sword doesn't fire his/her weapon once in the pit, not a SINGLE SHOT, the Knights will not aggro on them.
I didn't believe it when I first heard it but I've successfully downed Crota twice on hard as swordbearer now and it freakin works. Didn't take a single boomer hit. No Titan bubble required.

Every time I've taken sword I never shoot anything. Been killed by boomers plenty though.

That's interesting... In the 3+ hours I've spent as swordbearer on hard using this method, I haven't been hit by a boomer once while attacking Crota. Then again, I use the hunter crouch --> invisible and blink strike to stay invis while not hammering on Crota's kneeling doucheness. Maybe that's part of it?

Correct. I don't get touched when I use my hunter. On Titan/warlock however...
