Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

10 RepliesYeah and Atheon cheese is unbearable ! Guardians jump on the middle platform too ! So the supplicants can't explode on your face... And people dont look at them. And just try to skip them even if its going to kill another guardian. Takes no skill to jump on that middle platform. and if the shield drops they blame the relic holder... well anyway.. Too many cheeses ! Even for a French guy like me !!..

2 RepliesI kinda feel like it is a little cheesy. I do it and if you eliminate boomer and wizard threat that is not the way they intended the fight as they say with every cheese. This one probably won't be fixed but I feel cheesy every time I do it

I was against cheese. You can probably find my post about the rant I went on saying if you cheese you're trash but sorry this is no cheese. It's actually a 100% legit strategy. "Play smarter not harder". Some desticles don't understand that concept

We have not lost a SB to the boomers on HM Crota. Either we have been lucky or your groups are doing something wrong.

1) The strat is to either use a Titan's bubble to distract or shoot them to stagger the boomers. If no Titan then someone is still on boomer "duty" 2) See #1 3) Takes slightly less effort, but it still requires strategy and skill 4) Must just be you. 5) This is not true. There are too many other major problems they should address before removing the mid strategy. It is a not a game breaker, and calling it a cheese is going a bit far. That said I wouldn't care of they changed it.

2 RepliesIt takes skill. You have to have people who can snipe the sword bearer and have a skilled person to pull him back to mid when he goes to the far side. Just because you don't like this method doesn't make it a cheese. I still fear the boomers because they still can wipe you out when going back in the room after each sword.

If going to the middle while fighting crota is a so called cheese because you cant get shot than so is going to the middle and using the relic while fighting atheon because supplicants and atheon cant shoot you. This was one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen, the middle ledge method on crota is not a cheese.

Your cheese argument is invalid. You are pointing out, in your opinion, tactical disadvantages of using the middle method. Which means you do not agree with that particular strategy and you claim to have a better one. See what I did there?

I personally don't consider this a type of cheese. Unlike the crota kneel glitch or the infinite solar burn one, nothing's being manipulated or altered. Quite simply it's just a method that takes tactical advantage of the area around it.
