Seriously now? You guys are discussing about this over a game? Why do humans have those super abilities in the first place? Coz its a game you moron. Why can we fire our guns in space? Its a game you moron. Why didn't we die in real life when we died in game? Its a game you moron.

  • To maintain an immersive universe, lore in a game, movie, book, etc. needs to be able to explain itself within the realms of what it deems possible. When a game is contrary to what we already take as fact, to maintain that immersion it is right to explain the contradiction. Moron.

  • Its a game you moron. If everyone keeps asking questions like these and expect them to be answered, game developers should then stop making Dragon Age, Borderlands and Plants vs Damn Zombies. Its called FANTASY for a reason, FICTION. Out of so many mythical and superbly illogical situation in Destiny, OP decided to ask about bullets and oxygen ???? Its a game dude.

  • It's a game you moron. If everyone keeps asking questions like these and expects them to be answered, game developers will keep making their lore consistent with itself. Destiny is not fantasy, after all. Destiny is a mix of science fiction and fantasy and even the mystical has been explained in the lore. For instance, why is there a light atmosphere? In the lore, the Traveler came and terraformed various planets. It's magic. Yet it's also explainable. It's consistency.

  • And in the end what good will it do other than satisfying a handful people's silly curiosity ? Publish a series of encyclopedia explaining in details every single thing and how, what, why , who made it happened like this or like that? IF a dude comes out and ask "How did the biological interaction with mechanics resulted in Exo race?" Where do the guardians charge their batteries? To explain all these could take longer than making the game itself. Just suck it up and play, its a game, what do you expect? 100% Logical explanation of everything ? Plus 100% detailed history of everything and how it came to this? You are suppose to play the game not live in it.
And in the end what good will it do other than satisfying a handful people's silly curiosity ?
What good will having a story do? Why do we have campaign missions at all then? Why should we even have video games? After all, in the end what good will they do other than satisfying a handful of peoples' silly boredom?
Publish a series of encyclopedia explaining in details every single thing and how, what, why , who made it happened like this or like that?
You don't explain everything so that the mystery of the lore is taken away. You explain what previously was unexplainable in order to maintain immersion in the world. Else all the lore built to that point is useless.
IF a dude comes out and ask "How did the biological interaction with mechanics resulted in Exo race?" Where do the guardians charge their batteries? To explain all these could take longer than making the game itself.
Every little detail is not at stake. What is at stake are the parts of the lore that are not consistent. "Where do Guardians change batteries [for whatever you are talking about]" does not contradict anything thus we have no reason to question it.
Just suck it up and play, its a game, what do you expect?
People expect consistency. I've already explained this to you.
100% Logical explanation of everything ?
Of 'everything?' No. Of the historical inconsistencies? Yes.
Plus 100% detailed history of everything and how it came to this?
Of 'everything?' No. Of the historical inconsistencies? Yes.
You are suppose to play the game not live in it.
You are supposed to be immersed and invested in a story, not disregard it when it does not make sense.

  • Would it not follow that the bullets are also magic?

It could. I don't know. I'm no weapons expert. But that hasn't been explained.

It has been though. With the exception of primaries all guns have a damage type. Those types are all magic the gaurdians have the ability to control and conjure.

  •
With the exception of primaries
Interesting. It's almost as though the blatantly obvious 'magic' elements were not in question.

  • Either way, as stated countless times in the thread bullets will fire in vacuum.

  • Someone already provided an explanation as to how bullets can fire. That's great. The topic I am discussing is the explanation of lore inconsistencies, however. That's what you replied to.

I don't think you're talking about the topic I am discussing. Mainly because what you said has nothing to do with the post you initially replied to. I stated:
If everyone keeps asking questions like these and expects them to be answered, game developers will keep making their lore consistent with itself. Destiny is not fantasy, after all. Destiny is a mix of science fiction and fantasy and even the mystical has been explained in the lore. For instance, why is there a light atmosphere? It's consistency.
In response to that, you are saying:
Yes, its magic as i already stated.
Your response does not correlate with the post you initially replied to. It doesn't make sense.

  • You forgot the posts in between.

  • ... What? I said:
Someone already provided an explanation as to how bullets can fire. That's great. The topic I am discussing is the explanation of lore inconsistencies, however. That's what you replied to.
Then you replied:
Yes, its magic as i already stated.
So in my post I was talking about the original topic of my very first post. Then you stated 'it is magic.' There are no posts in between. Thus leading me to the conclusion that you are not talking about what I am talking about- because your post makes no sense in the context of mine.

  • Is there an echo in here? Because you keep repeating yourself.

You aren't explaining yourself. No need to be rude. I'm trying to understand what your point is. If you would explain it rather than make one-two sentence posts without explanation perhaps this conversation could progress. I've responded to your post in every way I can think of and it still does not make any sense. Thus it would be prudent of you to either stop replying or explain yourself so the conversation can continue. I'm alright with either. So please: Explain what you mean by:
Yes, its magic as i already stated.
In response to the post:
If everyone keeps asking questions like these and expects them to be answered, game developers will keep making their lore consistent with itself. Destiny is not fantasy, after all. Destiny is a mix of science fiction and fantasy and even the mystical has been explained in the lore. For instance, why is there a light atmosphere? In the lore, the Traveler came and terraformed various planets. It's magic. Yet it's also explainable. It's consistency.
I ask for the explanation because to me your reply does not make sense.
