The moon.
And places with no atmosphere, how can our guns Ignite?
Edit:

1 ReplyIt's a video game, put down the weed, and stop over thinking it lol
-
1 ReplyModern powders don't use salt Peter. They use nitro instead. The O2 for combustion comes from the loose powder and the bullet sealing that in. Other wise it wouldn't matter what environment or atmosphere you'd be shooting in the gun would fail to fire

The Traveler. Nough said

Space magic!!!!!!

1 Replyirrelevant. ammo boxes only come in 3 flavors so it's already implying tech well beyond what we have with current day firearms. Just grabbing a "white" ammo box gets you ammo that works both in a hand cannon as well as an auto rifle. Green boxes turn into batteries for fusion rifles, yet also morph into sniper rounds or shotgun shells? And purples can become either machine gun rounds or rockets? If you're already accepting that with no problem, why would it matter how to initiate combustion on chemical propellants for ammunition? As mentioned before, just assume each round is made with a speck of space magic, and makes it zoom out to that lvl 6 dreg to pop it's head like a zit.

You trying to put realism in Destiny. Stop.

1 ReplyMagic. Space magic.

1 ReplyYou're going under the assumption that the guns in destiny are using present day rounds and weapons, but they're not. They're probably guns developed after the golden age brought by the traveler that shoot "light" or space magic.
-
6 RepliesWhy do you think guns need oxygen?

Space magic

Because the Traveler terraformed the planets and moons I guess

You know real life guns can be fired in space right? Modern bullets have their own oxidiser.
-
Because the traveler gave them an atmosphere
