Map advantage is not a cheese. Boomers can't hit us from there and so it is not a cheese. That's Like saying hiding downstairs is a cheese, it clearly isn't but Bungie thought it was too easy and so they have a gatekeeper downstairs now. What Bungie May do is increase boomer reach to center. But that won't change anything trust me. If That's a cheese then hiding by stairs is a cheese too, so again no. Also if your Hunter gets hit by boomers then that's your teams fault. There's is a way to prevent that, just learn it.
