What do you expect your teammates to think? Is it fair that your personal affairs are asking for the time of strangers? Why is it that all afk'ers are afk at the beginning of the strike? Does this "life" thing that you all talk about just miraculously happen on the load screen every time? The real issue is that you, the afk'er, is attempting to perform "life" when you should just be playing a game. None of us are going to criticize you for going afk during patrol, but you've made a commitment to your teammates to play when you join a strike playlist. If I'm playing summoning pits and a person stops moving shortly after killing the Ogre midway through, I know that "life" has happened and I'm fine with being patient. Could you have told your girlfriend just a minute? Maybe finished the strike, and then made her tea? As unfair as it is for people to not be accepting of your girlfriends needs, it's equally unfair for you to do that to those people.

  • You're saying he should tell his sick girlfriend to wait because "I'm playing a video game"

  • Yea. That's exactly what I'm saying. He says "Give me a minute honey, I'll get you some tea". It's not like she's on her death bed, and he won't call the nurse because he brought Destiny and the PS4 to the hospital with him. If his girlfriend is THAT sick, then yea, get off Destiny all together and attend to her needs. Why the hell would he be playing video games if she might be seriously affected over a 5 minute wait for tea?

  • Right but some people would interpret that as you placing the video game above them.
