Let's talk about weapon rarity. Why does it matter? Why does it matter if Player A has the same thing Player B has? Does Player A's weapon effect player B? If they are in PvE then it only benefits Player B, if in PvP, is player B worried that Player A will kill him while holding the same weapon? The definition of "exotic" boils down to "Unique", but what is unique to? If you think it should be unique to you, you are Wrong. Like an Exotic beach, it is not unique to the people that visit it, since everyone has that opportunity, it is unique to other beaches. It is the best beach in the area, and that's what makes it exotic. Exotics are the best and most unique weapons in their class.
