I believe his point is that you shouldn't be able to just buy exotic weapons, especially when there is such a limited amount and at a time where people have upwards of 100 of the coins needed. The first few weeks or so we're fine because noone had strange coincs, now you can just hop on your 3 chars, do the weekly and be set for 2 weeks with the coins, seems kinda silly

Who cares though? How does it effect your gameplay of what others do?

you and me are on the same page good sir

I never said I cared nor did I say it affected me at all I was just reiterating a point of the person above me

Edited by XGN DICTATOR: 1/19/2015 3:33:48 AMIf you have over 100 strange coins that means you have logged the hours to get those coins, therefore they played the game and didnt get the luck you had, doesnt mean they worked any less. That tells me they kept doing weeklys and didnt get the stuff they needed/wanted so thankfully their time wasnt a complete waste and xur can allow them to have some kind of return on investment. Besides that, why do u care what other people have? Does it effect you in a negative way?

It affects the game in a negative way, yes.

greedy pig

-
cuz hes a greed infested swine
-
That is a concrete argument backed by some undeniable evidence you have there sir! Lol

I never said I cared once or that i thought it negatively affected me in either of my posts so that's complete assumption on your part. I simply put that it's very easy to obtain 27 coins by doing 3 strikes rather than the random number it would take to get the weapon itself.

Agreed, then what about the people that get the exotic they want from 1 strike? It took me killing atheon on hard 3 times a week for a month and a half to get mythoclast and some people got it their first time. Its too luck based to assume some people didnt work as hard as others. I understand the frustration as i have backpacked kids through nightfall because they needed help and they get exotics and i got pooped on. I think its just because life sucks and some people have it better than others.

I just think it's part of the game, I've tried for plenty of weapons (lookin at you hard light) and haven't gotten them due to the random drops but that's how games like this tend to work and stay alive, by making you grind for them. If Wow had simply let me buy all the current instance gear for 10 gold each I wouldn't have tried to run molten core so many goddamn times. and yeah I know their different games but I feel like it's worse for destiny since the stock of weapons and gear is infinitely lower. I think xur should've either had his own stock, sold bounties, or just not existed and just left it to pure luck like most games that feature drops

I understand, different people play for different reasons. I collect everything and thats why i keep playing. When i get all the things i want i cant say for sure that i would enjoy the experience as much. Who knows. I do think there should be more exotics and more gear in general but i suppose that is a different topic.
-
Hah amen. Fingers crossed though with that.
-
Not everybody has been playing for the last 4 months, the new guys should have a chance to pick it up.

Edited by Thr0ckmorton: 1/19/2015 3:24:04 AMI understand that and agree with you, I just think xur shouldn't have existed , should have sold armour only, had his own weapons set or sold the bounty for the weapon instead of handing out what are supposed to be this games most prized weapons
