This is hilarious, there is no such thing as a destiny "hard core" player. This game was made for people who couldn't hack it in a real MMO, or for those that never tried an MMO style game to get their feet wet. So congrats to those who feel they made it as king if the casuals. You want to see people leave quick? Take away the glimmer cap, introduce an auction house, take away xur, take away iron banner and make the gear and weapons truly count in pvp, as in higher level players should have question marks pop up when too low of levels run across them. REWARD ONLY PLAYERS THAT DO WELL in PVP and PVE, not the bottom feeders, this would give Rhyme to the reason of 'I earned this'. In conclusion hardcore does not equal elitist, elitist, however, does mean douche bag (at least in destiny terms) don't be an elitist.

Id say when it comes to the raids, there is definitely an aspect of hardcore there. It's not absolutely required, but the majority of people will need to be vigilant, and work together to take down these bosses and have the patience to work out roles. Casuals will typically rage quit after two failed attempts on their first try.

I agree with your statement, but this post wasn't about raids, it was about self entitlement. I earned so I'm hardcore, you bought so you're casual bs. Even still though 6 man raids that can be soloed or 2 manned is not hardcore.

Every game has truly skilled players. The average joe couldn't pull that off. Even a typical hardcore player. Most of the people who solo crota can't pull it off even on the first 5-6 attempts. Most spent hours figuring that out. I think we are not agreeing on hardcore not being the same as a person who is truly skilled. You can be hardcore and be a mediocre player.

And yeah screw the self entitled jerks. I want everyone to have every opportunity they can.
