Give one good reason how it HURTS the hardcore base and limits progression?
I bet you can't give a good valid reason that doesn't include anything along the lines of exotics not feeling rare.
Xur selling whatever has literally no impact on the hardcore base atal in the game.
Any impact is falsly created by the hardcore elitists self entitled attitude.

Edit- a little after thought here as well, Xur is probably in the game in place of a trading system. I mean you couldn't realisticly have both, and they worried a trading system could be abused for profit maybe, but they knew people would get pissed off having to rely completely on RNG, so Xur was created.
So what would "hurt" the game more, Xur or a trading system?

I'm not talking about me personally, it's the entire community of players I'm referring to. unfortunately the seasoned players are in the minority. Your right everything has an impact, in the case of Xur selling IB the impact is that more people have a better arsenal for completing raids. For those who get random groups together from forums etc that is nothing but a good thing, for those who don't it makes no difference what so ever. There is no NEGATIVE impact from Xur selling things like Icebreaker. And personally I hope he sells Ghorn soon as well, partly because I don't have it and partly because I can't wait to see the reaction from people like you on here. And I don't care if you think I'm a scrub!

Ok so now you're contradicting yourself. Your post says Xur ruined this game, and you just said you think there needs to be more achievement in getting things, but you also just said you hope Xur sells Ghorn so everyone can enjoy it. Well wouldn't that ruin the game even more in your eyes? I'm basically saying Xur is there to provide balance to an unbalanced (and to a lot unfair) RNG System that would drive a lot of players away from the game if Xur didn't exist. Yes Xur is largely for the casual players who don't have as much time to put into this game as some but also for those just out right unlucky with loot drops, but you've still not given a single valid reason why Xur hurts hardcore users game play.

Sure he can sell the Yallerhorn, but before that there's needs to be another exotic or whatnot that requires time and skill to obtain, right now there's nothing like that in this game. It hurts the game which in turn hurts the players and hardcore players are among that. What do you think will happen bungie decides to let everyone in the game have some of the best guns for free? You think that's going to make the game better and prolong it for a long time? No, it's going to shorten it's life span more then what it already is at. Game will be dead, Xur right now is killing off this game slowly.

Like I said the game would be dead a lot quicker without him because too many would just give up on the RNG system. Me personally I play because I like to play, I'm not specifically chasing any one piece of loot or anything, I'm just enjoying playing and am happy what ever loot comes my way by whatever means.

There isn't a good reason beyond "it means exotics don't feel special" or "I've played more than you so I deserve better stuff".........It all comes down to a stupid sense of self-entitlement and not feeling special anymore......

I think you're misinterpreting what I've said slightly. What I'm saying is that Xur selling exotics gives every player the opportunity to get exotic weapons.....You've responded as if I have said every player HAS or SHOULD buy a specific exotic each week, which is absolute nonsense. Might I suggest engaging your own as well.......

I think you've misinterpret what I was saying as well. I don't care what Xur sells, but there needs to be something more for the seasoned players of this game to achieve. Other then stockpiling strange coins.

I completely agree with you that there needs to be something more for the seasoned players to achieve. I just don't think making exotics more exclusive is the answer. What if they introduce Xur exotics that require something more than Strange Coins? e.g. "insert number" Strange Coins, and "insert number" Raid completions...... What if Bungie rewarded "Flawless Raider" with an exotic specifically designed as a reward for it? (These are ideas off the top of my head by the way).
