I feel similarly about cops. But very differently about fire fighters.
What you describe sounds terrible. I would never choose to be in that position. You kind of made my point for me.

Well you obviously won't understand it and never will. Don't talk about things that you have zero clue about. You're the exact reason why we need a military, to defend people like you that will cower in the face of danger. You go on with your life day after day, not giving a single -blam!-. All the while people thousands of miles away are putting their lives on the line to defend our country so another 9/11 won't happen. Don't tell someone not to join because you're to afraid to join the military or even be a cop, the military is where boys are turned into men.
