First off if your going to become a marine, or any military branch for that matter. Make sure it's for the right reasons, The military gets a bad rep for a reason, because these days most "soldiers" are just stupid kids who just want to call themselfs a soldier to seem big and bad/cool. Join for your country, not yourself. Also if this seems respectful towards the armed forces it's because in all honestly I don't respect any of them, see my reason above. I have seen a recruiter who never even saw real combat recruit stupid high school kids because "it's cool". Then you have idiots running around thinking they are tough because they have "military training" it's ridiculous. Respect actions, not words or titles.
