Hopefully, you have done all your research. You have to do what you want. Don't ask her to marry you like a lot of Marines do when they go in. Lots of divorces and cheating. I had an awesome gf but once I went in it just wasn't realistic to stay together. It's a whole different reality. You will save yourself a lot of trouble if realize how tough it is to have a successful relationship while serving. I joined without talking to a single person knowing that only I could answer the question if I wanted to join. Try to talk to some Marines(not recruiters) and they will tell you the good and bad.
