I don't think he's being rude at all. He's saying that advice from random strangers who don't know him or his personal situation should probably not be influencing his important life decisions. Especially not members of THIS community, where half of the people just troll for amusement. I get that he wants help, but this isn't the best place to come for it. He really needs to make the choices himself so he has no regrets. That's just my take on it though
