So then why does my 331 mida multi tool hit harder than my 300 voc against level 30s, and I believe even lvl 26 mobs?

Because attack actually works like this (att/15=point at which damage maxes). A 300 Attack VoC 14% less damage than a 331 Mida due to 31 extra Attack points.

Edited by BEH0LDiTzSAM: 12/22/2014 11:44:46 AMBecause the mida has less impact damage than the voc. both those guns are almost the same anyway statwise
-
If mida has less impact damage, why does it hit harder against level 26-30 mobs?
-
It doesn't though, they have the same impact
-
No they don't. I confirmed this. You can compare weapons. Voc has higher impact than mida.
-
It's because the op isn't exactly correct. Impact uses attack rating as a modifier. If you take a 300 thorn vs a 331 thorn on a lv 30 mob....you will do more damage. I have to double check.. Because my old test was on lv 24 vs 25 mobs using a 274vs300

You're right, the advantage of the attack level being higher than the enemy is minimal compared to the penalty for being lower.
