Because they are removing parts of the game I already paid for. mats exchange, a chance of losing the weeklies depending on map, and engrams from tiger. The game is 3 months old, not a year. And of course we have good old levi dryden standing in the tower. The greed is just too naked.

Mats exchange was replaced by mat purchasing. There is only one map that can block you out. And no more tiger engrams hurts everyone, not just you. They aren't removing anything. They're replacing it. If it bothers you so much get the dlc or leave. It isn't hard.
-
It's not a replacement, it eliminated the only alternate path for faction gear. Blocking out weeklies in any way is unacceptable. Not asking for the new maps, just want to be able to play the old ones. And no, removing engrams from tiger only hinders those that did not purchase the DLC. And no, I'll stick around and and make my opinion as a paying customer known.
-
You aren't a full paying customer any more. And if bungie wants to cater to those that paid them more for one week, who are you to say that's wrong. Seems logical to me. You know, rewarding those that paid more.
-
this guy doesnt understand that bungie will obviously choose us who bought the dlc and give us more benefits rather than those who didnt get it, chill out it's just a week without strange coins, damn cry baby
-
I know. These people want special treatment for not getting the dlc. Surely bungie are going to show preference to those that pay them more?
-
yes and i'm actually glad they did this for us
-
Someone who is not buying the dlc based on this behavior, or the next, or the next game for that matter. Wager I'm not the only one. And since they say they are listening, I'll keep on posting. Guess we will see.
-
I agree with you. It's the principle of the thing. If they fix this, I'll buy the DLC in a heartbeat.
-
You aren't getting the dlc because they show temporary preference to those who buy the dlc?
-
The word you meant to bold was intermittent. Unless they remove the dlc strikes from the rotation. Tiger change, also not temporary. Taking away aspects of the core game only 3 months in is unacceptable.
-
The whole point is you buy the dlc or deal with the consequences. You cannot blame them for showing preference to those who pay them more.
-
Um, yes, yes I can. I didn't preorder hoping bungie would hit one out of the park. I waited for reviews, read up on features. Knowing story was thin initially, I bought a game that would offer weekly PVE challenges at the higher levels, and a path to optimal upgrades that didn't require pvp. In the last 7 days 75% of vendor gear has been locked to pvp, and the only high level activity worth the grind is VoG. Tiger is basically a mark run now. You buy DLC for additional features, not as protection money for what you already have.
-
It isn't protection money. If bungie wants to give dlc owners the chance to play it at a higher level, why should vanilla game owners stop them. What would the alternative be?
-
Dlc check to see what map to offer for weeklys. Better roll tables/rewards for roc, but leave tiger as it was. Move Eris to north tower, and most likely lock even talking to her behind The paywall.
-
So, dlc people can do the weekly twice? And get a bunch of "that's unfair bungie" posts? No. The dlc is not forced. But if you want to be put on the same playing field as everyone else, you need to buy it. Why should bungie cater to those that don't want to continue?
-
No, once. Which map they get may depend on dlc. Love how the goalposts keep moving. Not talking about "continuing" I want what I already paid for to -blam!-ing work as advertised and intended.
-
And it does work. Just not this week. You want it to work every week you get the dlc. What you get does work. You get those strikes. But you don't have that strike so you can't use it. You don't have a nightfall. You have a strike. The nightfall is a modifier to the strike, so you can't have a nightfall strike without the strike. And if we have I suffer through one nigh impossible nightfall, you do to. Just not in the same way. Why should you get the easy shit for not paying for everything available? And you think bungie should take time out of their day to cater for those that couldn't be bothered to get the full spectrum of available things? It's not just a case of "slap on an extra select node."
-
Edited by dekkerd3: 12/10/2014 12:18:19 AMLol. If it doesn't work every week, it's not what I paid for. And by your logic Xbox shouldn't get strikes if the ps exclusive map rolls. Not asking for it to be easy, just asking for what I paid for to work. Again, this game has been out 3 months. They are already pruning core content and putting it behind a paywall to sell to you again. That should outrage you, regardless of which side of that wall you are on.
-
The ps exclusive strikes will never be in rotation because both consoles cannot get it. The dlc is different because everyone could get it but people choose not to. And like I said, there is nothing wrong with them showing preference even if it is temporarily to those thy pay more. Like the difference between free and paid runescape or ads vs no ads on an anime streaming site.
