Getting real tired of PvP's stupidity.

Just as the title saids I'm really getting tired of all the BS in this game's PvP. Before I go off on my rant, I love this game to death. I've played it for like 400+ hours and I still love it. I'm a PvE and a PvP guy so I like playing the raid and occasionally the strikes but at heart I'm a PvP guy and I'll always go back to it, so what's wrong with PvP you ask? Let me answer. PvP is broken right to the damn core. There is no balance, like anywhere... At all. Bunnies effort to "balance" everything just makes other guns OP. Let me explain, they nerf auto rifles now you have people posting on the forums saying hand cannons are OP. Then ( theoretically speaking ) when they nerf hand cannons then scout rifles or pulse rifles will be OP and it just becomes a circle over and over. Also let me just say I'm fine with all these nerfs to an extent so far I've been fine and I don't find any guns OP other than the one I'll complain about: Fusion Rifles. FR's are stupid op. Their charge time is faster than nearly every guns TTK. And on top of that you can charge them behind cover and just pop up and kill someone. They have the impact of a shotgun and the range of an auto rifle. And no I'm not saying this because Xür was selling Plan C because I've hated fusion rifles since the game came out its just now a huge problem. You can choose your ideas to fix them, remove easy access to special ammo or reduce the impact they give but do something because it's literally every match that like 4/5 people on the enemy team use them, and not just use them, but use them as primary's. I'm talking running around with these things equipped 24/7 like if this alone doesn't tell you it's a problem I don't know what will. When Bungie nerfed the Vex and Autorifles they said they'd check their data to see the most used guns, hot damn, how did you guys miss fusion rifles? Lastly team balancing is garbage as hell, every game it seems you have 3000+ score and everyone else has like 850. But I won't go into it that much. And before you're in the comments saying "Git Gud" look at my profile, I'm no where near bad and if you say "just adapt" read the whole wall of text and actually try to get the problem. So yeah comment your thoughts.

    • I use fusion rifles all the time when I play crucible, but, let me tell you, it's not as easy as it looks. I consider myself a decent player (usually ranking 2nd or 3rd in the leaderboard) and I find myself getting outmanuevered and beaten by other weapons all the time. Mastery of movement and visual target aqcuisition is key along with an amount of hand-eye coordination.

    • You're honestly taunting them telling them not to say it But not the point, in my opinion the game is fun, as every game does, especially after it's first come out, and the months after, it has it's pros and cons, bugs, etc However I do agree PvP could be better, and yes it is slightly broken, that's because of the people who play it, it wouldn't be as bad if the people playing it didn't set so many strategies and standards for playing, I mean all good and well if you like using a shotgun, fusion rifle, sniper, whatever, yet a lot of people lean towards let's say a fusion rifle because that's what's recommended, not necessarily what they "want" to use, I follow no standards and use whatever I want However, as I just said, since almost everyone is using a certain type of gun for a certain situation, it's often to my detriment, yet I do it anyway, most likely wasting my time attempting to prove one type of gun never constantly triumphs over another Yet even if this wasn't a problem people would still find something to complain about, you can't win in the argument, if it's not one thing it's another, you take away one annoying aspect the community will stumble across another and exploit it to their hearts content till yet another person cries out about it enough that they shove the nerf binkie in all their mouths so they'll be quiet, temporarily, till they yank it out and complain about the nerf It's a never ending cycle

        • Fusion rifles fill the role that shotguns fill in other shooters. The charge time and the distinctive noise that a charging FR make puts its user at a real disadvantage. If you are regularly losing to them then the problem is either over aggression on your part, or poor situational awareness. If you've weakened someone with your primary, don't chase after them if they duck behind cover. If you do, don't be surprised when you get a shotgun or a FR to the face now that you've turned the fight into a CQ one. Likewise don't charge into rooms or around blind corners without s grenade announcing your arrival. Because you will once again stand s high chance of running right into a ohk for someone.

          • I have been playing since launch and fusion rifles are op...it the fact that they one shot you medium to long range. I don't think charge times are op just the one shot factor from range.

          • You just get shot by Fusion rifles and are crying about it, let's explain something. All fusion rifles (except an UPGRADED Plan C and the Vex Mythoclast), have a significant charge time, using the charge time to your advantage and watching your radar, does not make it an OP weapon, it makes you a good player. You have to get the timing EXACTLY right, or its game over son. You essentially get one shot, and if you don't, you get popped with a shotty, or auto rifled to death. I much prefer Fusion rifles to shotguns, why? They are the most unique weapon in the game, and my personal favorite, aside from Scouts (Note that I ran Iron Banner with a fully upgraded Found Verdict, I needed those boots, but don't like playing with shotguns). A well placed Fusion Rifle blast, can and should be a 1 hit kill, depending on distance, they should be medium range akin to Auto Rifles, NOT Scout Rifle range/impact. Personally, I think there should be weapons specific to the Crucible (I.e you have your Crucible loadouts, and your Vanguard loadouts, and raid weapons/exotics really only have a place in PvP modes like Iron Banner, which was the most fun I've ever had in PvP, like ever. AG well, we can hope.

            • I would'nt say fusion rifles are the problem I would say its more the stupid lagg issue thats making people turn to them as main weapon I have suros reg, shadow price and doctor nope fully upgraded but most of the time its like firing blanks they do nothing and yet i get shot with what seems like one shot by the same gun from other players. The lagg is the issue and why more players are turning to the FR's one shot kill . i have the Plan c and I use it only when lagg is bad otherwise i might as well just stand with target painted on self

              • i consider any nerf gamebreaking. but if something had to be done with secondaries I'd say bungie should make a map with no secondaries (or secondary ammo). that way all fusions and shotties will keep their glory and people who don't want to deal with them have their map to enjoy.

Or just make it so each player has a finite amount of special ammo. Then you wouldn't see so many people running around with the pocket inf and other fusion rifles just blasting away and never using their primary. At least with shotguns most of the time they are situational, except for invective which is just ridiculous. I've found that people who try to run shotgun the entire match get destroyed in the long run and their kd suffers terribly. But this is not so with FRs. Someone could easily only use their FR for the entire match and still come out on top. Ultimately that's what frustrates me about them because as soon as those people switch to primary they get obliterated in all 1 v 1 match ups. So all they end up doing is using FRs anytime they play PvP. At the end of the day I think the easiest way to fix FRs in particular though would be to take away the ability to pre charge. I don't know how they would fix that but if people were no longer able to pre charge around corners it would prevent them from popping out and one shotting from cover at any range. I suppose one idea would be to make it a one touch fire. For example you still have charge time but you hit the fire button and once you hit it the gun charges on its own and fires not allowing you to stop it. This wouldn't necessarily fix the issue because people could still get the timing down but it prevents people from pre charging and keeping their FR at max charge constantly while they are running around.

              • I'll confess. I've had the plan c for a month, and I find that it's stability is what makes it. With that perk, I kill snipers. It feels like I'm using a laser pointer linked to an orbital bombardment system. It's just easy. My suggestion is to take special weapons out entirely, seeing as they are impossible to balance without ruining PvE

Quit winning like a little bitch, people like you ruin the game always crying nerf when you get wrecked by something, shotguns are just as bad if its in the right hands, you might as well just say nerf everything so then it doesnt kill you because thats pretty much your logic, your saying nerf things i dont like, and dont nerf things i like. all your doing is ruining the game your part of the shitty PvP base where guys cry about things making weapons less effective, thus loosing its value. whatever you reply t this is just bullshit this is really the realitya nd what your doing quit being a little whinny bitch, go back to CoD if you want to do so it fits you way better.

                  • Are the Fusions OP? Definitely, without question. What have they done? Made me better at avoiding and luring, teaching me new strategies and styles of play (I usually roll around with the Universal Remote and the Found Verdict, nothing like 2 shotguns) Its more or less issues with the levels themselves I have, and most of them are fine... now Blind Watch used to be a fun map, now its sniper/fusion central, with maybe two handy close range areas. Anyone with a sniper can go to whatever hallway they want, because the whole map is hallways now. Shores of Time tends to have fusion rifle problems too but other than that, the level really helps any strategy do good, especially scout rifles I'm getting off topic. The point is, the levels themselves are what could be customized to reduce OP instead of turning a Raid weapon drop into a child's toy. Levels with fusion rifle problems need less corners, being as how thats the main tool of a fusion rifle is the advantage to pop around corners with a fully charged shot. As far as my suggestion to deal with it for now? Angle jump alot, or use the bladedancer's teleport jump, very handy strategies for dealing with Plan C personally I've never used it myself in the Cruci, I prefer getting 30 kills with shotguns instead

                      • I bought a plan c from Xur for PvE. I rolled into the crucible with it one game just to see if it is truely OP and holy shit was it cheap. For context, I'm a bad but improving player (ground my control ktd up from 0.3 to 0.95 - I'd never played an FPS before. To me being way positive over the last three weeks is an achievement). So my point is I shouldn't be wrecking anything in the crucible. My average game is probably 1.3 - 1.4 these days. I went in. 4.0 ktd. I could literally stand there charge and fire before I died from them. I could crouch behind a box and shoot from behind cover one shot. Thats a totally unlevelled Plan C. It's just insane. I took it out of my loadout after that game and went back to hand canons and a shotgun or sniper depending on the map. I actually want to be good at PvP, rather than appear good because I have a fusion rifle lol. The plan C will do for raiding and other shit once I've farmed it up. I'm not for nerfing anything and i am aware that some great players use the fusion rifle, but anyone who is running with a fusion rifle who thinks it's not massively assisting their game is kidding themselves. It's the range that does it. When they were comparatively short ranged it was one thing, but I was one shotting cats from across rooms. I don't think it needs a nerf but it's a cheap and OP weapon for scrubs to feel better. No wonder the crucible is full of them. That said it doesn't impact my game too much. I enjoy a challenge and they add that. They can be played against and can be beaten but a good portion of that is running away and taking them from extreme distance, which my DYK is great for.

                        • I have stated this before and will state again. Fusion rifles are fine. I cannot use them at all! Hitting a target with them is pretty hard since they basically have to not be moving or really close. Its easy enough to dodge a FR and I hardly find myself getting taken out at range by them. See them charge up and take a step or jump up and they will miss. I used to feel like shottys were OP but now that I have invective and started using it and getting into shotguns in general (More of a hand cannon person). Iv come to realize that shotty and FR take some medium of skill to pull off effectively, As with all guns minus auto rifle. I would challenge you to get a fusion rifle and see how well you can do. Its not a insta win gun and I applaud anyone who can pull of a positive KD with them. Now I can get behind the maps being imbalanced as well as the match making. Very rarely will I get into a game where someone tops me on the leader board. That being said endless nerfs to weapons will never fix anything like you said. Honestly PVP should be like Iron banner all the time.

                        • Oh gosh, sum1 else us bothered by the charge time compared to ttks. I though i was the only person lol Its insane range makes it THE go-to secondary if u need to wreck ppl. Nvrmnd that, its accurate as hell hipfiring while allowing u to be mobile >_> balance my grass I luff pvp here too, but so many basic things are missing or ignored. I still think only players contributing to the team should get their supers, not just because they waited for it to fill up Matchmaking is something i think the'yll never fix, or the lag comp for that matter. These decisions were made on purpose
