from the wording of the dlc announcement I guess you'll have to buy the dlc to get armors to reach lv32, otherwise you're stuck at lv30.

This is not microtransactions. I have no idea where you got that from. I'm saying that it would be pointless to go up in level without new content. Everything we have now can be done at level 30, there is absolutely no reason to be 32
