Everyone's beloved Skyrim released with a shitton of bugs and everyone gave Bethesda a pass because, "Oh well all Bethesda games come with bugs lol." Then came the DLC for a game I had not even finished. No body called Skyrim DLC a money grubbing scam. How about the DLC released for Call of Duty and Battlefield even Halo, those are just maps and everyone eats it up. I don't buy every game that gets released just the ones I want, so since Destiny is the only game I'm playing at the moment I don't mind the pricing for it. Sure it would get lowered if people didn't buy it but I like this game and feel the pricing is fair, so why would I not but more of it?

  • I think Skyrim got a pass because there was so much to it. It was a hundred hours of gameplay. I like Destiny and Skyrim. But, I think they are vastly different games.

  • I liked Skyrim I even raved about it and got friends to buy it. However the story was utter crap and I stopped doing it really quickly. Then the game just got boring.

  • The point is that we were promised one thing, and were sold something else. Everything Bungie told us about the game was exaggerated.

  • Everything that was read in places other than official Bungie was exaggerated. This game is exactly what I thought it would be, I never felt I was lied to once to me it feels like the same game that was pitched to me.

  • Theres a demo video released by Bungie claiming that everything you see in the landscape of old Russia is explorable. That was a huge exaggeration made by Bungie themselves

  • Dude I saw that video forever ago. At first I was like wow that sounds cool, but I had a lot of questions like where are the monsters and things to interact with. It all looked barren out in the distance, so the whole claim just didn't make any sense. Add that the fact that this was only mentioned once by some random employee that was just demoing the game and was most likely fired for speaking out of turn and going off script. Never again had Bungie made this claim and it didn't even seem to make since within the confines of this game, so I didn't believe it when I didn't hear about it again. In the end Bungie may be a game studio, but it's made up of fallible human beings who are prone to mistakes. Please people if you like this game don't let the mistake of one lone rogue employee out of 500 ruin things for you.

There is no excuse for that. In my line of work, a mistake can cost a life. It's not acceptable. And has Bungie ever apologized for any information about the game that may have been misleading? No. Not even after we see the game ourselves for what it is has Bungie corrected themselves on anything they said prior to release.

  • "Your line of work." Not to rage, but is your line of work?

  • I'm a mechanic in the air force. If I make a mistake, it could bring a plane down. Mistakes are not acceptable, especially on something huge like this.

  • I see. I guess we're similar, in a way. I understand where you're comming from.
