Bigot-a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc.
I'd say it fits fine. He dislikes the idea of shotguns.

Ok, fair enough. But instead of being an ass, like you were in your initial post, you should have, politely, showed him why shotguns and whatever else he was complaining about are not op, even though they are the BR of this game right now. Instead of trying to sway his viewpoint, you became an ass and didn't help your cause at all.

I usually argue logically but the thing is I'm not fond of shotguns either. I just don't complain about them. I felt it was better to target his complaining than to target shotguns because that would make me a hypocrite.
