Shot gun is not cheating they just need to reduce the range or impact

I get shot down by one pull of the trigger at close to 10 ft away. How the hell does that happen?

It's the impact most likely. High impact will take out your shields like it's nothing.

& I'm a warlock, so my cloth/armor is 80/20. I never understood that when you upgrade damage on a gun of your's, it's the attack that goes up. That fine against higher leveled enemies, but level means nothing in the crucible. Made more sense to upgrade the impact instead

Level and damage upgrades are designed to not have effect in the Crucible. That's what the Iron Banner is for.

i see. in bf3 you could pretty much snipe someone with a shotgun for a 1 hitter quitter. It made me very angry but i kept playing and got better with the shotty myself. Destiny isn't as bad as that at least.

No no no. The gun is broken its the person holding the controller that is the issue. Stop rushing the guy who is holding a shotty.

Nah best thing to do is reduce the special ammo spawns. Nerfing the item itself also affects pve, where the shotty is already lackluster.

currently in crucible all shotguns are primaries because there are ammo drops everywhere, ive never ran out of special ammo one time. that 1 exotic that has ammo regen is not the problem dude. not every single person is using it, not nearly everyone has it.

I'm not talking about ammo Regen, I'm talking about the fact that limiting special ammo wouldn't stop shotgun spamming because there are shotguns that are primary weapons not special weapons. :3

I don't think you realize what shotguns are actually capable of. Shotguns in reality should be able to have pretty close groupings up to about 50ft. So the distance that shotguns have on the game is already severely nerfed

There war shot guns meant to hit a bunch of enemies at once no be grouped and that is a type if ammo

Edited by Sylentknite: 9/24/2014 8:45:10 PMThere's no such thing as a war shotgun. Shotguns are meant to deal exponential damage in a larger radius than a single bullet to maximize damage effectiveness in a short distance, they're not necessarily intended to hit multiple targets at once
