Unfortunately this is the route most games are headed. When Titanfall launched with basically no campaign, it changed the way games were made for the future. Now you get a very bland story that is 70% finished and you have to pay to get the rest of it on DLC releases, while the PVP aspect of the game is what is given the most attention now.
