Destiny Keeps Disconnecting me from the game *UPDATE!*
I am not sure if this is only me but Destiny for me has constantly been disconnecting from the servers giving me numerous "Disconnected" notices and it is really starting to drain my patients. I have made sure my Internet Connection is working fine so I assume this is just a first day thing? Is this happening to anyone else?
UPDATE!
I am well aware that a lot of people are having problems on any system, I was trying everything I could such as manually inputting my router information for better connection and other things but essentially nothing worked. I gave up at around 5am in the morning and went to bed and 3 hours later once I woke up I turned it on and it worked perfectly and I am now still playing the game.
I honestly do not know how this was resolved as it just seemed to of happen, could it have been Bungie doing something to the servers? Is it just certain internet connections being a bitch? I don't know and sadly I can't help those who are now in the same situation I was in, I am sorry but the only thing I can suggest is be patient and check your connection settings to make sure you have the best connection settings available.
I followed this link and it gave me a lot of info and despite it did not help me as much I believe it could still help one of you. So good luck to everyone and believe me your patients will be rewarded, hope you get to play soon!

1 Replyyes i have been playing destiny for a year now, and i have started getting disconnected and it keeps popping up with CATTLE/CATERPILLAR, CENTIPEDE, BEE/FLY/LION and BEAVER/FLATWORM/LEOPARD an im starting to get fed up with it, its been happening for three months now i have reloaded the game and it still kicks me, if you could bungie fix it before taken king comes out.

With this game being as old as it is this is unacceptable... comon Bungie get it together.

I am also getting 'rabbit' a lot. I had similar connectivity issues when the game initially launched and it took months to fix it, hopefully them are more on top of it now.

5 RepliesThis must be the worse experience I ever have had with an online game EVER!!!! Halo, Titanfall are all online games FPS games and never disconnect me like Destiny does. I even ran an Ethernet cable straight from the Xbox One to my router and it still disconnects me EVERY time I try to play. I can't even complete ONE bounty/mission. This is ridiculous!!!! Maybe we should get together and sue you. No excuses! Fix it fast or I will toss your game in the trash. Chip Retired U.S. Army

I too just bought this game and finished all the downloads got off work turned it on and I keep getting disconnected. I'm returning it in the morning.

I finished my Xbox One ver. 2.0 patch earlier after over 24 hours worth of pauses and now when i boot up the game, it says it cant read the content and i tried several times hard resetting my console. So now i'm left with an unplayable game altogether. Bungie i need answers especially when you have no actual customer service reps that anyone can talk to.

This explanation is a copy paste job. It just suddenly started happening since last night. As soon as I join a pvp or a group/heavy assault, the game starts popping alert messages and kicks me out of the game with either caterpillar or baboon error messages.

2 RepliesI must say this game is really REALLY trying my patience and i hope it gets resolved soon before i do something I am going regret. Since day 1 i have had no connection problems at all and absolutely flawless game play until a few days ago and now every time i try to play i'll usually get disconnected from the server about 3 times before it can hold a connection and maybe 4-5 minutes of actual game play in a planet or strike mission before i get kicked from the fire team I'm playing then kicked again off of the server and sometimes kicked off of xbox live all one after another and a giant middle finger getting stuck in my face every time. It doesn't help to build a game like this up and promote it wildly IF PEOPLE CAN'T EVEN PLAY IT!

Constant banjo errors with OPEN NAT, perfect connection with ALL other games. Something definitely screwed on the servers.

I just purchased the game myself and thought it was my network problem, every 10+ minutes it disconnects, found it not to be my network but the game servers, for gods sakes bungie fix this please as I am about to go stir crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! or have I already, one ponders the thought due to Destiny, I wish I never purchased this game now.

I too am tired of the constant disconnects. I have tried port forwarding, opening ports, other dns, and all to no avail. My frustration is seriously putting the future of my beloved titan in doubt. I just dont know if Ican take this anymore. I really like this game, but its like going to a theme park where the rides are constantly breaking down. I consider trading this game away daily because of the unplayability. Please give me a reason to keep it Bungie, and spare my poor titan. boo hoo.

While i'm writing this i am re-downloading the game but if it doesn' t work ill just not play the game anymore. FIX YOUR SHIT GAME BUNGIE PLZ SPARE US BEFORE YOU LOSE A BUNCH OF PLAYERS WHO LOVE YOUR GAMES THAT WON'T BUY ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR GAMES BECAUSE OF THESE NETWORK PROBLEMS.

I'm so stinking sick of destiny. I've been being patient for a week now and ever since expansion 2 came out, I can't even get to the character pick screen without me getting disconnected. How can I get disconnected before even being officially connected!? If Bungie doesn't fix this, they are going to lose customers which means no money which means another game. Even if one were to come out right now, I wouldn't buy it because its wasting my 60 bucks for a game that I can't even play because of lag. Overall, I would say that this game is better than AW but the internet connection is trash. Bungie get it fixed because at this point I feel like giving up.

Yeah servers are having issues due to lizard squad frying servers with ddos. I am currently at their twitter page and they are trying to get people to do something to get them to stop frying servers, but they keep frying them.

I got this game a couple weeks after release and it was great and after I got my first character to 20 I started getting connection errors and getting disconected from xbox live, It annoys me i would rate this game 9/10 but with this problem its only a 3/10.

A Notice of possible disconnection would also be a courteous thing to do. I'm 7 Vanguard Marks away from being able to buy some Legendary Boots, and i've been trying to play some strikes for 2 days now. SMH

My favorite thing is having an update on the game watching the same couple pictures cycle through over and over getting about 80% complete getting stung by a wasp and having to restart the update... Theres nothing quite like the rush of throwing a controller through the tv screen in anger.

2 RepliesI'm sorry but i might just give up destiny because i cant late it for crap without either lagging out from the game or Xbox live completely and when i lag of live it takes forever to get back on and i can't stand it like there really is no point of playing if this keeps happening and sucks because out of my friends this only happens to me and recently no joke within a legit 5 seconds i lag out. So please Bungie fix the problem because im am really loyal to the game loyal enough that even though since i got game when it came out i had still played it despite the lag and got far but still wanna keep going but it seems like i cant if this keeps happening. One more thing, it only happens to Destiny or any Bungie related games except not as bad because it rarley happens but when it comes Destiny I really want to punch something.

I just had it having to restart an effing mission of the day 4 times to just get disconnected at the end is BS. Trading the game in and getting something else that is not made by BUNGIE!
