As i understand, Exploration sends you to a huge map (skyrim style or separated in small maps?) and then you do what in there? kill things like in missions, for what? to collect what? is it solo or you can find people there like not instanced areas in MMOs?
How exactly exploration works?

1 ReplyPersonally I think 'explore' as a mode is misleading when it's more like a 'free roam'. Explore covers the same areas as the story mode, just with mini quests such as scout here, or kill these things, with reputation as the payout. Also good for bounties.

Explore mode drops you of in the same map as you travel when doing story missions, the area is a limited instance that you and a small number of players share (just like a story mission), however unlike a story mission, which locks you into one "quest" at the start in explore you are free to roam the map. During your exploration you can find small beacons all over the place which gives you a minor quest of a random nature.

You're on patrol, soldier! Your duty out in the field is to assist in anyway possible. From small errands found via beacons or killing every ilk that represents the Darkness! Now get to work!

See the visuals, discover new areas, level up, gain loot, find unique items

There's an exploration mission on each of the planets. You can free roam around the whole map and there are side missions connected to a certain faction. During the Beta, you could explore Old Russia and there were beacons scattered around the map that you could get Vanguard missions from.
