Others on this post: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/65349153/0/0, have suggested Bungie add a option to pre-order Split Screen so that they can know upfront that there is demand and that they have an economic incentive to commission work on it. So what do you think, how much would you pay for Split Screen?

Edited by aboniks: 8/22/2014 10:52:34 PMHoly shit. Seriously a change.org petition? For a -blam!-ing video game feature? CRYHARD GARBAGE. If internet access hadn't been deemed a fundamental human right by the UN, I'd start a petition to take yours away.
-
Though I am usually a proponent of split-screen, I feel as though split-screen would just not work into destiny properly and how bungie has imagined it to be.
-
No way would I pay more than $15, no matter how much I want it
-
What year is it?
-
I simply couldn't give two -blam!-s about split screen.
-
Why would any one wants to see less of there screen? To me it would be like playing on a smartphone. .
-
no point for spilt screen anymore

Edited by Saboteur: 8/22/2014 8:18:08 PMLook man, split screen is a miserable feature in the past, back when I was little, my dad and I used to play waw zombies in split screen, as well as resident evil 5, but now, it's become a thing in the past
-
As long as someone is singled into there own account and has there own guardian that they have built and gathered there own gear on I see no problem With split scren. If ur talking about guesting someone on your account then that will never happen in this game
-
I'm curious to hear any serious arguments against splitscreen... 168 people (at this time) have voted against it; is there any actual reason why it's bad or are you just the kind of person who doesn't want other people getting something because you don't need it?
-
With the qualify of graphics people expect with games, it would be tough do keep that level as well as render it twice on the same box as well as rendering the entire map and enemies. This was the issue within Dead Rising 3. It was asking too much to try to render a non-loading environment with that amount of zombies for two people on the same box. I can understand split screen for PvP cause it's not as big of a world. But asking for it on PvE would just task the box too much and the visual lag would be as bad as on the custom Halo maps that people made.

Split screeners ruin crucible. Stahp crying,
-
I don't need it, and I would want to play with anyone thats on Splitscreen, due to the fact they are handicaps
-
It's 2014 the time of Ultra and hi-def - split screen would ruin my world experience .--- geesh. I would pay $$ to get rid of it .
-
I would pay a squirrel 50$, for a Triple screen support.
-
Sharing is for poor people
-
Whichever dumb shot said he would pay over $60 for dlc split screen should reconsider their lofe
-
-blam!-, I'd pay $5 to not have split screen in the game.
-
0$$$ if they put it in the game sure fine whatever but ill NEVER pay for it... im an adult and dont play split screen... ive always hated split screen even as a kid id rather just wait and take turns
-
I've never liked splitscreen tbh. Ruins immersion for a start and makes it even harder for me (I have an automatic handicap anyway... Partial colour blind AND joint problems so identifying enemies is hard as it is). Making the enemies even smaller is just wrong. Then there is lack of awareness if the split screen is vertical and you get stuck on things in front of you if it is horizontal (still remember getting stuck on a wall in Halo 2 iirc and couldn't figure out why I couldn't move... friends were peeing themselves laughing). Then there was four way split screen... Trying to play a game via a CCTV screen is always the best... I don't think. Some people want it though... but it has to be a large number to make the development costs worth it. Then there are the bandwidth issues. I honestly doubt if it is worth it. Used to be that most kids didn't have a console... no a large number do... so they don't go over to friends houses to play games together, they just link up ingame and party up.

I will not pay money for a feature that has been in almost every game I play. I have 3 younger brothers, I play with two of them regularly, and the third is getting better and better. Originally our Xbox was bought for kinect, then for split screen. I love having my buddies over to play my games with me and going over to their house and doing the same. Online gaming is mostly becoming a form of making "friends" that only care about blowing people's heads off together. They probably couldn't even state the name or favorite color of half of their Xbox or PSN friends, and that is pathetic. I believe in real friendships wether it be through gaming or another thing called real life. I'm surprised Microsoft and Sony aren't backing this. Both of my brothers recently got Gold so that they could play with me, that's a lot of money floating from us basically to them. Now think if lots of bigger families did this over destiny, console owners would get money and destiny would just get more and more popular No, I am not going to cancel my preorder because of no split screen. I can always pass the controller (but even that takes away from all of our time playing games), but even then I will never be truly satisfied with Destiny because I can't play it with my siblings.

It's 2014 and Destiny isn't Dance Dance Revolution. Split screen is for people with no internet, system link or any reason to truly play a game like Destiny. I don't even see how split screen could work in a game like this.
-
Not sure how split screen could work anyway if you are on earth and your friend is on venus. With how data is stored on disks, I don't think you can go very far from each other.
-
Anything that makes the viewable area of my TV smaller is a horrible feature. Not saying they shouldn't put it in but I wouldnt use it. And why the hell would you have to pay extra for split-screen? It's like an obsolete option. The internet, online gaming, LAN parties all played a part in making split-screen a thing of the past
-
I don't care for split screen, I won't be using it anyways, I don't see Destiny needing split screen. But if they were to add it, it should be free cause making you pay for that is just stupid.
-
I voted for no split, but that's because the game is rigged for online, and even if you have split screen the other person has to import their account and such to play. If it had an offline mode then split would work, but thats not how this game is set up, so I wouldn't hold my breath for it to happen. I don't see it being practical. Even if they made an offline mode I doubt the game would be the game, they'd have to scale back events like the devil walker and such, and I really don't think those encounters would be any where near as satisfying if it could be done by two people.
