I still believe. Does anyone else?
After taking a minute to scroll through some of these threads, I have found that so many are giving up on the game. Some even going as far to cancel their preorders. I ask, why? The beta was great! And to think that bungie (the ones who brought us Halo) are going to let us down when the full title releases is ignorant to say the least. If anything the beta has me excited for what the full game has to offer. I haven't lost my faith in bungie, does anyone else out there still believe?

5 RepliesI think what has upset a lot of people are the similarities to Halo after Bungie segregating themselves from the series. Some of the mechanics are similar (crosshair being below center, slight movement overshoot), there's a robot chilling in your head, you jump 7 feet in the air, etc. Personally, I think Destiny is what they wanted Halo to evolve to. It's an MMO that feels nothing like such. I think it's done really tastefully, it feels relatively well balanced, it has zazz, and honestly the beta impressed me far more than I expected it to. The more people that cancel, the faster servers will be for the rest of us. I say to hell with 'em.

Bungie is great at what they do! So far they have done a awesome job, just a few issues here an there that can be fixed. Anyone who is saying they hate destiny can go an cry about it, there's nothing out that's better, Call of duty has become one of the worst games I've ever played, Battlefield just looks awful an will never give it a chance, an every other game gets boring to quick. Destiny has the feel of a great an long lasting game, as long as bungie keeps up to date with everything, it should all be good.

I was on the fence about Destiny until I saw the Alpha footage (missed the window) and immediately put a pre order in. After playing the beta... which had very few actual bugs from what I encountered... I wish I had gotten the limited edition instead of the standard edition (Best Buy won't let you change sku s once the order is processed). I'm really excited for the full release.

1 ReplyI might be more excited about this game than any other game ever. I put in over 20 hours with the beta and was never once bored. There are not many games that I can say that about, and this was just the beta. It was beautiful and addicting. I tried playing some BF4 today and it just wasn't the same anymore. I can't wait for September 9th.

Nothing to believe, I found out about Destiny a month ago first, Put it on hold and heard about the beta, Now when i played it i loved it! And i am looking forward to the full game regardless of how much it will have at the start, A true gamer wont bit*h about rumors and what not, I am dam grateful for the time money and effot Bungie is putting into Destiny.. Everyone who cancelled their pre order is of no concern to us or Bungie, Most of us loves Destiny of what it is and WILL play it~

As someone who was pissed off with Bungie pre-Alpha for making a bland-looking game, I couldn't be more excited for it. I've put over 96 hours into the Alpha and Beta combined. I never once got bored.

I'm excited for the game, ever since it's vague reveal back in 2013...or was it 2012; no matter. Sure, like most games, it'll have it's pros and cons, but the game is what the player makes it out to be. I for one am going to have blast playing with my friends, and enjoying what Bungie has brought to us(and no, I'm not a fanboy, I actually hate shooters; however, this game really caught my eye). And to players who joined in the Beta and found the game bland, as well as generic; good riddance. If I were them, a player who was quite excited for this game, I'd wait for the full release and then pass judgement. Sure, the small taste of games we got had it's sour parts, but Bungee is listening, and I'm sure they will release a game everyone can be happy with. I will say however, this over hyping that we've got advertising everywhere, is probably the culprit. People see it, the hop into the Beta expecting to be blown away...not going to happen. And I highly doubt the full game will live up to this "crazy" hype either. Though, in no way am I saying the game will be rubbish, it's going to be great, just not as great as people are expecting it to be. Sorry for the long rant lol

Im still way excited. Even if the game is as "small" as many are speculating, and they are speculating, I think the campaign would still be more than satisfying like that. The thought of it being very vast, as the fewer seem to be speculating still, just makes my nerves itch with excitement. So its gonna be either really good or -blam!-ING AMAZING. So yeah. Still excited. And still hoping for the "very vast/-blam!-ING AMAZING" gameplay, despite all the nay sayers.

20 RepliesSure lots of people will buy the game. It's been hyped to the hilt. I not interested in the game any more. Why? Having played lots of shooters and betas over the last 20 some years, this beta has shown me how repetitive and boring game play will be. Only 6 strike missions that you will play over and over and over. And they don't change in any way. Explore mode offers nothing exciting to do. Basically shoot whatever is in your sight. Maybe get loot. While there is a silent majority that might like the game, there is also a silent majority that doesn't. Most of my friends don't bother with forums. They also aren't getting Destiny. Truth of where Destiny stands will be by mid October. Everyone who bought the game will see in the forums and on the servers how well the game holds up. Enjoy the game if you like it.

All games have their pro's and cons, but I'm putting faith in the fact that Bungie did an awesome job with the Halo series, so I hope they'd do an equally great job on Destiny.

More so now than when I first found out about the game. The game play is tight, the setting is interesting, and most importantly it's super fun to play. Hopefully Bungie can stay true to their vision and not try to please everyone for the sake of their stockholders.

I can't get over the fact this game will be a "grinder" through and through. I can't stomach the thought of visiting the same area for the 100th time, all masked by completing different "mission objectives". Don't get me started on PvP.... Ugh....
